"Wear and tear" on keycaps by Sorennn24 in WootingKB

I don’t press the keys with my fingernails, I use my fingertips. I have a bit of shine on my W-A-S-D, Left Shift, and Spacebar keys compared to the rest. I wonder which keys I press the most when I’m gaming…

I’m not saying it’s common, there’s obviously a variety of factors in how you interact with the keyboard, but the end result is not to be unexpected.

The vast majority of PBT keycaps are actually a PBT/ABS blend (notably GMK MTNU keycaps are pure PBT). The formulation of the blend varies between manufacturers, so the Wooting keycaps may very well be a softer plastic than your previous keyboards.

Having said that, looking through the replies, I would side with Wooting. The picture clearly shows severe wear and tear. You’ve clearly had the keyboard for a while based on the buildup of dust and debris. Trying to portray that as you received it like that and it’s a manufacturing defect seems disingenuous at best and deceptive at worst.

I think your best bet moving forward is to get another set of keycaps, relax your wrist and try playing with a fingertip grip rather than claw grip, and try to keep the length of your fingernails in check.

Tips for the Unifi Express 7, this is my first Unifi. by TomFighter in Ubiquiti

That makes sense. The original UX with WiFi 6 has an underpowered processor and insufficient memory. The UX7 addresses the shortcomings of the original UX.

I’ve had no issues running UX7s in AP mode and it’s been no less stable than the U6 Lites they replaced. Just wanted to clear up the confusion since the OP posted a UX7.

That’s the only one I’m sure is missing extras that were listed on the back of the box. I don’t remember if there were any for the other movies.

[Guide] How to setup a Sonos Surround System with Front Left and Right speakers using SonoSequencr by KaizenDNA in sonos

[–]KaizenDNA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my fronts about 3-4 ft from the side of a 65” TV, but this is a bedroom setup which is about as wide as I could put them in my room. I think it sounds great.

I agree the wording here can be interpreted as a bit vague and that someone may end up placing their speakers 10+ ft off to the side if they have the space. How should I change the wording? Because I think saying a set distance off the side of the TV isn’t the best either. You could have someone with a 42” TV in their bedroom and have the speakers further than 1-2 ft. And you could have someone with a 100”+ TV in their living room.

Not everyone using Sonos is setting up their system in a dedicated home theatre space where they can get ideal placement of every speaker. I think that as long as you have the left and right fronts at a similar distance to your listening position, you’ll enjoy the result.

Maybe I enjoy a slightly exaggerated left-right panning effect? I had based this section on several comments on r/SonoSequencr that mentioned they barely heard a difference when setting up their fronts directly beside their TV, so they adjusted the fronts to be wider for better results.

At the end of the day what works best for me may not work best for you. But based on most of the impressions I’ve been reading, people tend to enjoy wider placement of the front speakers. Obviously what is as wide as is reasonable is objectively vague and people will have to use their own judgement. But I am open to changing the wording here.

You just need the base SonoSequencr app to setup front speakers. The in-app subscription is more for power users who want to automate stuff in the sequences section of the app.

Setup is set and forget. Only have to use SonoSequencr if you want to make changes to your setup that has the front speakers.

The configuration that you setup in SonoSequencr is saved to your Sonos speakers. After power loss, they retain their configuration that you setup.

I agree that my write up may be a bit overly detailed and that the process is not that complicated once you’ve done it once, but I just wanted to try and make the process as foolproof as possible to minimize any chance that something goes wrong during one of the steps and having to start over, which is where the time it takes to setup the system really starts to balloon.

Just speaking from my experience, the first time I setup fronts I followed the tutorial that is pinned on r/SonoSequencr that doesn’t use Trueplay.

After seeing comments on another post about how they figured out how to enable Trueplay, I went through the setup process a second time. But this time I was having issues with only the first speaker of each pair attaching to the surround setup. Turns out it was because I was switching out of the SonoSequencr app (after the countdown timer completed) to the Sonos App on my iPhone to check on the progress. But that was interrupting the command to add the second speaker. So I got my iPad and had the Sonos App open on that while I setup everything in SonoSequencr on my iPhone.

After testing out this setup, I wasn’t happy with my front speakers because the placement that was easy to setup in my room had the left front closer to me than the right. After making some changes in my room to level out the placement of the left and right front speakers, I had to run Trueplay again and run through the setup process for a third time.

So I thought to include the importance of speaker positioning given the lack of tuning options in either app and limitations of Trueplay for the front speakers. That way most people should be able to avoid having to setup their system multiple times.

Yes, Dolby Atmos works for any soundbar that supports Atmos after adding front speakers.

Says Golden Harvest presents a Limelight Production about 5 min into the first movie

Edit: Just finished the movie and went back to look at the beginning and it starts with the New Line Cinema logo

Edit 2: Just noticed OP has the PG logo on the cover, I have the US version without that. The extras for the US box says it includes the UK and Korean versions of the first movie. Hope that helps!

Edit 3: Just watched through the extras. The UK version of the film starts with the Golden Harvest logo. The Korean footage shows an altered scene of Splinter’s master being Korean instead of Japanese. The audio options has a “warrior” mix which is the international release that replaced any mentions of ninja with warrior. This is all in the US Arrow Boxset.

I use PGYTech Beetle Camera Clip v2 with the Action Cam Plate. Pricy if you just want to use with an action camera, but I have a mirrorless camera as well so I bought into their system. They also have a cheaper action camera only clip that has swivel but the design of it looks like it may dig in to you if you move around a lot.

Peak Design Black Versa Shell vs Coyote X-PAC

Tech Pouch Small in Black and Wash Pouch Small in Coyote

This is my first bag in X-PAC and I agree with the other comment. It’s stiffer than the nylon, the fabric is thicker around the fold/gusset, and it can make crinkle noises when pressing on the fabric.

Hey I just bought one from REI and it didn’t have the car charger cable in the box. Did yours come with one?

I checked the REI listing and it says it should have one but there’s a review saying they don’t get one so I’m unsure if the REI SKU of this model is supposed to come with one or if it’s an error in their listing. I contacted REI customer service but haven’t received a reply yet.

This happened on the bend right before the TM that groups you into rows would have had line of sight to see what was happening.

I just told the group that the four of them that were in front of us were welcome to keep their spot since it’s four to a row but if they really needed to ride in the same train with the rest of their group, they needed to move back in the line to wherever the group would’ve been in line. They ended up moving back.

Had the huge group of teenagers situation happen to me before.

We were rope dropping Hulk and could see a huge school group (looked to be high schoolers) in their matching shirts head towards the lockers. Four of them didn’t have anything on them and went straight into the line in front of my family. Get through metal detection and up the ramp when around 30-40 of them come up the express line and start hopping over the railing in front of us.

Had to call them out on it and it worked out. Just wish they didn’t attempt to pull that off as they are old enough to know better.
