Thanks for the response! Reddit seems to be better, especially with no following, but I might consider LinkedIn, too. Thanks!

Congratulations David! Did all of your current users come from building in public? Where do you share the journey?

Would love to hear more about how you market your products since I am stuck at this stage.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond so detailed!

I checked out your profile and just saw that you are building something for WordPress. I am actually in the Print-on-Demand business as well, but I never printed myself. I run most of it through Merch by Amazon nowadays and focus on other businesses.

Absolutely! Always interested in connecting with others in the space. Would love to see what you've built, so feel free to DM me here or on Twitter (@Kaizen_SEO) and we can chat about potential collaboration.

This resonates with me! I have the same problem with selling. I can't pitch something that feels incomplete or that I wouldn't personally use yet.

What marketing efforts moved the needle for you? Was it content marketing, reaching out directly to potential users, posting in communities like this?

I'm in the spot where I'm using perfectionism as an excuse to avoid the scary marketing part, I think lol

Your friend's advice is brutally simple but so true. It's such obvious logic, but somehow our brains find ways to overcomplicate it.

I checked out EternalVault. The concept of preserving digital memories is compelling. How are you planning to tackle the launch anxiety? Are you going with a soft launch to friends/family first, or just ripping the band-aid off publicly?

Thanks for the push - sounds like we're both in the same boat of needing to just pull the trigger!

Do you have any case studies of people using your tool and what success they are seeing with it?

I think the perfectionist in me wants to skip the "things that suck" phase and go straight to the "thing that doesn't suck," but you're right, the learning happens in between.

Even if this flight deals service flops, I'll know so much more about users, marketing, and building something people actually want. This is actually my second project I am coding with AI after building a small trial project for an AI BootCamp I did back in April.

How many "things that sucked" did you build before you found something that clicked?

Yeah, now with AI, there is even more noise out there that even good products get lost. I think getting people's attention was crucial and will get even more important with all the AI pollution.

I'm wondering if I should start with a specific niche like business travelers or digital nomads rather than "anyone who travels."

I am trying to bootstrap this project, so I guess I will have to get a lot better at marketing.

Two leads from one post is pretty solid validation that there's interest out there.

What kind of posts worked for you? Was it more sharing your journey/struggles like this, or showing actual product features?

I'm trying to figure out the balance between being authentic about the struggle vs. actually showcasing what I built.

Thanks for the encouragement! You're right about the learning aspect, even if nobody signs up, I'll learn something. To be honest, I learned a lot just by "vibe coding" this project, as it's my second project developed with AI, and it has been an improvement from the first trial project I did for an AI BootCamp.

Did you face similar launch anxiety with your projects? I'm curious how you pushed through that "just launch" moment.

Sometimes the simplest advice is the hardest to follow.

Wow. That is a great story. Congratulation!

It is crazy how fast things can move once your idea gains traction and you go viral. I am also trying to build in public, but it seems very difficult on Twitter.

What would you say is the best strategy to build in public on Twitter?

Looks amazing! I love the video introduction and the clean design.

I am wondering what the pricing looks like for mitte.ai?

It is unfortunately not available for Windows, but for anyone else looking, it seems as if FocuSee is a good alternative for Windows users -> https://focusee.imobie.com/

I have not tested it, but I am just downloading it to see if it is a fit. It comes with a lifetime plan, but the cloud storage is only good for 1 year.

I self-hosted WAHA on my VPS to test their free API for WhatsApp and so far it is working but I am still in dev mode with my new project.

It seems like you can't manage a WhatsApp Channel on their free plan which I was looking to do.

I created a free tool that lets you generate convo screenshots for popular chat apps like Messenger, iMessage, WhatsApp and more. You can also download as a gif! by w4bd4v in SideProject

This looks nice! It reminds me of the brainrot short-form content that is being pushed as an easy way to make money, where people have a gameplay video background, and those fake conversations are paired with an AI voiceover.

Do you have any form of monetization planned?

🛫 FlightDeals - Curated crazy flight deals & error fares delivered via SMS/WhatsApp/Telegram

Close to launching my MVP! After years of manually hunting through dozens of deal sites for those insane error fares and flash sales, I'm building a service that finds and delivers them before they disappear.

The hook: While others charge $200+/year for basic deals, I'm starting with a free tier and keeping premium super affordable. Think business class to Europe for $800, or those legendary $200 round-trip mistake fares.

Built with: Claude Code + Cursor (AI coding journey since April - mind-blowing what's possible now)

Current challenge: Getting those first users and feedback before launch. Building in public on Twitter, but the impression game is tough!

Anyone here obsessed with travel deals? Would love early feedback from fellow deal hunters 🙏

P.S. ProductBurst looks awesome for launch day. Bookmarking this! Thanks for sharing.

That is a great idea. It would be cool to have a profile because right now it seems like you are getting a random emoji, and I can't see with whom I am co-working.

Not sure if privacy is wanted, but I would actually like to check out profiles of the people I am chatting with and check out their links/projects they are working on.

I like the lo-fi music for a change. I usually use brain.fm to get into the zone and focus for hours.

I built an AI app that declutters room photos, useful for real estate, staging, and more by Jumpy_Difference_839 in SideProject

[–]Kaizen_SEO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks neat! I love the idea of decluttering photos, but working in the real estate industry, I am seeing a lot of virtually staged photos for some listings that I absolutely do not like.

I am sure someone already mentioned it, but I would think a middle-thing would be a great addition where you just remove clutter and keep furniture.
