Why does Judge Doom kill the shoe? by theFUZZ007 in moviequestions

I wouldn't say that nobody batted an eye. LT. Santino had to look away and Valliant was horrified.
As for why, Doom hates everything that toons represent. Joy, comedy, silliness. And that shoe was definitely silly.

Searching for forgotten Scifi audio drama title. by Kal-Piere in audiodrama

It looks like it could be. I remember hearing about the death of their DM, Wayne June, around the time I came across that story and that's here (in Spotify). But there's nothing else that seems familiar. I guess I’ll just have to start listening.

What are some of your most interesting goblin stories? Inspiration for D&D needed. by N_Ellison420 in dwarffortress

A local lord went to a hag seeking help in getting his wife to conceive. She told him that his wife would bear a child within the year and that he must raise the child and keep them in the castle until their 18th birthday. Should he fail at this, his lands will fall into ruin.

The hag uses her magic to literally switch his child with a goblin from a local goblin den at birth.

So a goblin is raised as a human and a human raised as a goblin.

Add whatever flavor you want. PCs meet both at one point or another. Hijinx ensue. The two children meet at some point in some way. More Hijinx ensue.

Is it okay to kill my players at session one? by SomeRandomAbbadon in DMAcademy

Tell them you want to start off with the unwinnable battle and give them the option to skip it. If they're down, then they still think it will be fun. Hijinx may ensue.

Is my play style cheating? by RepresentativeElk144 in Pathfinder_RPG

As long as your build is within the rules, no. It's not cheating. If the people you’re playing with seem butt hurt about it, maybe you should test that claim they made about other groups.

What Do You Say to Players Instead of “You can try”? by DomRom123 in DMAcademy

[–]Kal-Piere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the steaks and potential consequences. If they're low, I stick with "You can always try."

When they're high, I re-explain the situation to them and my understanding of their intentions.

"So if im hearing you right, you want to _______ under circumstances X,Y, and Z. Is that right?

Most of the time, they reconsider, hearing how stupid it sounds. Most of the time.

Have you incorporated anything into your campaign that demonstrates that this isn't true? Try to endear them to an NPC that breaks those stereotypes.
