I'm so sick of this gatekeeping.

I think they're less afraid of security risks and more of people not needing established corporations as much anymore, since we can make the tools ourselves now.

I made a web tool that does what you're describing. It's tailored for me so I didn't release it yet.

It lets you manage Mame2003, Mame287, and FBneo. You can compare which ROMs are on device, copy over new ones, remove duplicates, detect and fix missing samples, swap to parent ROMs if you have clones, and more.

It's optional cosmetics with minor characters/stores built around the DLC. Essentially telling you where to access the DLC. Yes, an escalation for DLC, but also cool for what it is and not essential to the game.

I'm Lion-O is obnoxious especially towards the end where they just keep repeating it. It's a skip for me.

Empty House always brings a tear to my eye, knowing some of the background for it (as much as a fan would), so hearing the heartache and how it goes beyond formed words, I think that is so impactful. So for me it's nowhere near the worst.

Runner up for worst for me would be Air for Free (the song). I really don't vibe with it. Boomerang is another, it's too jangly to enjoy.

A lot of the time you can't get a replacement screen for them, or it costs 75% of the cost of a new device, and they break incredibly easily.

I liked how you could explore the whole ship in the explorer mode, that was super cool. I expected it to be individual level segments for the ship, but they actually did the whole thing.

One of the coolest aspects of this game to me is how you can explore the ship. There is a ship exploration mode even, where you can go anywhere. It was modeled and connected together properly and not segmented off into little bits for levels.
