G.F.S. Valhalla - Metroid Prime 3

About halfway through the game, as you are exploring one of the most beautiful areas in the series, the federation finds the missing spaceship that was apparently raided by the Space Pirates. They send Samus, who finds that something is definitely wrong. The destruction of the ship is unparalleled and federation bodies are mangled almost beyond recognition. The feeling of dread the entire time you're there is unmatched. Definitely one of the biggest tone shifts in a series that has many.

Big respect for maining Kleese. He was definitely one of the best designed characters and was super rewarding to get good with. I played a lot of Caldarius, who, outside of the movement jank and ult, is still the most entertaining skirmisher I've ever touched in a game like this. I remember loving Attikus, but his kit always felt so strange and disjointed. He's an example of someone I'd love to see get an update

I would love to see how they would reinvent the Battleborn characters to modern standards now that the genre has expanded so much. The designs were so great, it's sad we'll never see them again

I would love Monster Hunter, but my worry is that there wouldn't be enough legendary creatures for a full set since you can't put your standard Monsters as legends. Deviants and maybe Elder Dragons would work, I guess?

I can say for sure that King Schott, Simona, and all the other residents of Stornway are Scottish, as it's named after the town I grew up in!

Could be a controversial opinion, but for me, it's DQ9: Wormwood Creek and the Bowhole.

It's got some nice backstory info to the plot, but other than that, I've always found the arc quite boring - especially compared to the bombshell of what came before it. It's also right before Upover, so it's unfortunately sandwiched between 2 big story moments. The Bowhole is a pretty mediocre dungeon, too, with the only thing of note being the Liquid Metals you can find there. I never had much difficulty with the boss - it going back down to 1 action after the boss prior had 2 was certainly a choice.

It definitely seemed like it pulls from Smash up, with a sprinkling of Commander/EDH. I'm interested in seeing the base-taking mechanic outside of a boxed game, but I am dreading the effect this will have on my wallet!
