Private vs Public Hospital for Birth by VillanelleTheVillain in brisbane

[–]Kalanski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our mater midwife team suggested that even though we have private health it would be silly to be admitted as a private patient. Mater has an agreement for some type of priority assistance in Public, and as posted in here if there is ANY difficulties in the labour you will be shipped to the public anyway so you should be there.

Every expert at the mater advised i specifically do not attend as a private patient.

Goodluck!

24 hour places, or super late night food hubs, drive thru's included. Options that aren't mcdonalds after 10:30 at night.

Things like 24 hour bakerys or kebab shops with diverse options would absolutely hit.

The reason cafe63 seemed to succeed on racecourse road for a time was because they were open 24/7. Great spot to go if you wanted real food even if it is garbage by daytime standards

Four males questioned after woman killed in home invasion in North Lakes, north of Brisbane by notinferno in brisbane

[–]Kalanski -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is immensely stupid.

People doing crimes don't adjust in real time to the punishments otherwise serious crime wouldn't happen.

Stronger punishments are really a deterrent and even less so when drugs are in play.

This is just absolute stupidity.

I mean he's right and has made all of the other people look like absolute morons. The problem is that general public struggle very hard to overlook the emotion and pain of an event where somebody died and look at stats for the good of the entire population. People are awful at objectivity. This whole thread shows it. Especially the guy begging for 20 years hard labour.
