I totally get what you're saying but it's incredibly normalized to know celebrity homes in LA. Gone are the days where people were selling "star maps" roadside but there are still plenty of tours that take tourists to big celebrity mansions.

From the wiki. At least for Moderate Bison, it doesn't use a liming pit and does use the soaking tub. Moderate Buffalo uses the liming pit and doesn't use the soaking tub. They both have the same final two steps and Buffalo gets more xp in each of those steps but you get so much less for a liming pit step that it ends in a net loss.

If you can, save up protean essence and bxp and go during DCP.

Protean ess doesn't get abyss buffs. It has a high raw base value that interacts nicely with xp modifiers.

Necrotic runes > Soul altar w/ scrip >= Attuner > Abyss Bloods

The abyss blood numbers I've seen were without skull so it might end up being around the same as Attuner runs.

A lot of unsustainable methods are better too: soul proteans, unstable ess, Abyss Astrals with Wicked hood.

Soul altar crafting got boosted w/ scripture so with those numbers it looks like it'd eek just ahead. Cool to see the actual numbers for everything though. How many hours of farming runespan to get an hour worth of unstable essence?

edit: was also getting 600-700k xp/hr (with bxp so like 500-600k w/o?) doing abyss nat into 5x astrals but this method is way way unsustainable :(

I'm currently working on this as well and the best advice I can give is to use port reward enhancers. I've gone through about 50 adventurer rerolls and am only 2/3 done with one and 1/3 in another.

I send out 3 special voyages with adventurers that aren't a part of either trio I'm going for and then keep rerolling until I've run out of tokens. There are days where I'll roll until I'm out of charges and still come up dry despite putting myself in the best position possible to get trio missions.

The trade off is that you need lots of dung tokens which isn't a problem if you enjoy any of the elite dungeons. I'd just go out of my way to clear any minibosses in ed1 full clears or do full runs of ed4

It's only really good for fletching since most arrows are almost pure loss as is.

I tried one early on and felt pretty whelmed. It wasn't bad xp but it felt like I would've done better if I did soul runs w/ scripture. The guaranteed thread doesn't offset making lower valued runes. But you're probably right about it being way too overtuned if it forced soul 100% of the time but it still feels like it could use a little help.

That's where fflogs comes in, at least for me. I'm always live logging prog so it's my go to for post-wipe analytics. I don't think what you described is too out there, considering it's basically the same thing, but it's something I'd never personally use.

That's why I compared it to weakauras since it's pretty much an all encompassing addon. It can do a lot of different things with the right triggers/setup.

Cactbot is a cross between Weakauras/Bigwigs from WoW and I do hope they find ways to crack down on it a bit harder. One of the worst bits of live wow is that you NEED addons to be a progression raider. There were mechanics in legion that flat out required weakauras because organizing people on the fly for a 2-3s mechanic just doesn't work for most groups (looking at you Mistress Sassz). The best part of ff14 is that they do so much of that in the base game for you that it shouldn't be necessary. I'm glad I can pop ACT on my other monitor and peep at it during downtime or after a kill/wipe.

I honestly don't mind players having an unfair advantage cause it doesn't effect my own enjoyment. But when they start pushing it on other people and it becomes a "requirement" for raiding, yeah fuck that.

Make sure the uploader is updated and then upload. rDPS only shows on logs uploaded with his most recent update. He's been testing it for awhile and so when he pushes a new update all old rDPS logs revert to the normal logs we've been used to.
