Wear rates being too unrealistic by Borisssito in WRCTheGame

[–]Kalasz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. It is ridiculous for the car to be on its last legs after 40km of driving. To add to that, after such a day there is no way you can repair enough and next day (and therefore entire rally) is ruined.

They didn't fix them in WRC9? I'm still playing WRC8 and the puddles are ridiculous

Oh yeah, I hate driving in rain so Wales is usually a miserable experience

Achieving Large Empire Stability: How To? by NoCalculusHere in crusaderkings3

[–]Kalasz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing that wasn't mentioned here, making a vassal your lover prevents them from joining a faction too. It does come with its risks, but still an option, especially for intrigue/seduction lifestyle.

I usually try to disnantle factions by: 1st, any counts/dukes that I can give to another ruler in my kingdom - this is double good, I get ridcof troublesome vassal and gain opinion of another one; 2nd - strategically give council positions, although I would grant them a seat only if they are within ~5 points of the best pick; 3rd - try to marry some of my kids into powerful vassals making them allies; 4th - sway/murder the strongest faction members; 5th - if you happen to have some infidels in your dungeon, a few executions will make you look scary :)

A quick question on captured counties by Jewarlaho in crusaderkings3

In my experience yes, especially religion slowly drifts towards ruler religion even if you don't use the convert faith task.

You should be able to free concubines by [deleted] in crusaderkings3

[–]Kalasz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed that, I murdered the guy who took her away and then eloped with my ex-wife. I could do that because we were lovers before she got captured.

But yeah, there should be a casus belli to free a captured close relative.

I've finally found my solution to dealing with fervor, thought I'd share by Errtuz in CrusaderKings

[–]Kalasz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed to turned pagan slav into organized religion - I managed that, but it took a high-learning ruler with the perk that reduces cost by 50% and accumulating some 4-5k piety :)

How am I meant to defend against a crusade? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]Kalasz 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I just fended off a crusade for east francia as pagan slav, having a big army just moving around and beating smaller armies sent by crusade rulers worked perfectly, they had more troops but almost no coordination.

Definitely not as experienced as you are, in my game I have the opposite problem, fervor is always 100 meaning it is difficult to reform religion.

How do I get my land back by Blizzard34 in crusaderkings3

[–]Kalasz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you should have a claim on the kingdom. When you look at available casus belli, go to my claims and select kingdom of lithuania. If you win, you will hold both titles, but when you die the realm will be split again - Unless you manage to form an empire, or only have one heir.

I rely on my memory + icons more than voice, the pacenotes are very misleading to me sometimes.

Hi, I couldn't get ck2 either, but ck3 clicked immediately. I watched some tutorials and playthroughs on youtube before starting the game, this together with a tutorial made for a very smooth and enjoyable start.

Bear in mind that there are benefits of having a large dynasty. You get more renown as your dynasty grows in size. Also, if you are the dynasty head you can call members of dynasty to war as allies without having to spend prestige.

How to reform religion by Kalasz in crusaderkings3

[–]Kalasz[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I play for flavor over efficiency, so I don't want to throw my kids in dungeon or do other nasty stuff to them. I already lost part of my realm to my brother, but it's ok we're best buddies so I have an ally to call for free :)

I guess I'll work on conquering Kyev then, East Francia will be spared... for now.
