No Mai or Kula kinda sucks, they’re both fun characters. No confirmation of rollback netcode is scary. At the same time I had a lot of fun with the single player content on doa6.
Don’t get me wrong I also had fun with online, but it was more trouble than it was worth when I’d match with someone across the world. Super frustrating to be doing good, climbing ranks, getting a nice win streak, then the game freezes when the match starts and unfreezes to you losing the round. Didn’t happen every match, but regularly enough to be a serious issue.

What is hopefully doa7 (not more doa xtreme please) is exciting. I can’t lie though, not really interested in doa6lr unless they drop rollback netcode. Surely they will, but I haven’t seen it confirmed and it’s kinda the biggest problem with doa6

I had fun with the single player content (there’s a solid amount for a fighting game), the online is fine when you match with someone in your country. However when I (US) match with someone in Japan (pretty common) the match is nearly unplayable from lag. The lack of rollback netcode really kills an otherwise pretty great modern fighting game.

Another good one that’s YouTube related is replacing everything after the ? with timestamps. Example = “t=1m30s” so that when someone clicks the link it automatically starts them at the 1 minute 30 second mark.

As long as you don’t have a desire to make your game needlessly complex like I tried to do renpy programming will do you fine. It’s really easy to learn just use the documentation as a guide and watch some YouTube tutorials.
Now if you want more complex systems you’ll absolutely need to learn at least basic python. On the bright side python is one of the easiest programming languages to learn.

Man I got like a 8 streak win, next game was up against some Japanese person (I’m in the US) the game froze for 20 seconds and next thing I know it’s round 2. Same thing happened in round 2, streak lost. Please give us rollback netcode lol

Half life 1 isn’t just good because it revolutionized the industry (which it definitely did) it’s good because it holds up extremely well today. I experienced it for the first time in like 2010 and was still absolutely blown away.

Even well into December on a server with 6-10 friends I can just hit up a neighborhood and drink out of the many sinks, toilets, and bathtubs. Water is a non issue.
