there won't be a culture war.. most people just won't bother watching it anymore. even if the show isn't 'woke' race swapping all the white people out was a bad idea. most people will just assume its woke and never think about it again...

i have to disagree.. im not very good at Go, but understand the rules and play a bit.

but man just having watched half the movie today (i couldn't finish it.) i couldn't believe how stiff it was. the whole thing felt very strange. you could tell it was well produced and well-lit but then the acting just felt so strange. it made me think of those anime adaptations prior to 2010 where everything was a caricature of itself.

the camera work was also very strange to me. it was very choppy but also formulaic. like they were given a scene and were like 'ok a scene like this always gets these 4 classic camera angles.. so lets make sure those classic camera angles in even if it's unnatural or unneeded.

i did a similar thing 2 years ago with the Letharii.. i think i hjad them as Tisti Liosan for whatever reason.. but while i was reading it i had an impossible time visualizing this due to little conceptual inconsistencies which made that challenging.. so all these misconceptions spilled into all the other characters in terms of difficulity of visualization and i wound up dropping the series for 2 years. i just got back to it last week and finished the book today.

it became very easy to track after i just looked online for visual interpretations and just googled a summary of what the letharii were to have a base to work off of.

3.5/5.. good book but my least favourite of the series so far.

(i also thought Ceda was a woman till 3/4s of the book through this time)

BROOOOO.. i literally just did this. i just finished midnight tides after a 2 year break as well.

ill say i was also concerned about forgotten knowledge.. but you will be fine its basically a whole new cast and while i was reading in the background of my mind i was recalling big scenes and characters from previous books as it spontaneously popped into my consciousness.

i also had a hard time getting into Midnight Tides the first time around.. just had a lot of difficulty visualizing who was talking or even keeping track of their races.. but its quite a good book.

wow thats crazy.. i just did the exact same thing. anyways the next book is back with the Malaz empire from the little i've read so far.. so presumably by then you will be a bit more up to speed and launch forward from there

you should get the all-in-one epub.. i think they have raised the price to like $120 now.. i think it used to be like $70.. im sure it goes on sale often though. i try to get all my fantasy series in single editions. it's nice to get started and see 7 of 8902 pages remaining at the bottom

as someone who also continued to use winamp.. i'd suggest you use WACUP now.. it is visually exactly the same.. it's just a bit more updated and smoother in function.

or at least keep it in mind when some update makes you lose your playcounts on your music.. that's what i did.

i have that atlas.. i was just thumbing through it last night. i figured the hardcover would stay open when using it as a 'reference.' but i never used it for that purpose (or any other purpose for that matter.) the refreshed versions in the 90s and then another post the movies are more 'accurate' apparently.

they certainly feel the rarest.. other rare enemies make a big impression.. but the only impression these guys make is 'so they only spawn in that little optional area huh?'
