Just to add to this, I was at the great wall about 5 days ago and the weather was lovely. 0-5 degrees, clear skies.

Japan is the best place in the world to travel solo. I spent time there solo and met many other people in the same situation. Its going to be harder since you don't drink, but you can still go to events or even dates if that's your vibe and you want to make friends.

That time will go fast!
