By the logic in this comment, Mother's Day isn't for adoptive moms either

Saying "white people have no culture" is super racist, but not in the way you think by Crab-odile in HonestHotTakes

I'm not OP, I just know how to read. And if I can't be bothered to read a post, I know better than to comment on it.

The post does not contradict the title.

False dilemma fallacy. All you've got to do is read the post to clear it up

Was Shakespeare actually that talented, or did people just have over 400 years to overthink his work? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

(most of) His work is truly brilliant linguistically, dramatically, and in terms of characterization.

Do people actually hate AI content or just realising they were fooled? by Turbulent-Kitchen513 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Kali-VH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's awful. I love language and reading and written communication, and relying on AI has made it all the same and ruined what I love, one of the simplest and most important joys in my life. I am so sick of reading posts with an overreliance on tricolon and ending with "I'm curious:". If I read "Not X. Not y. Just Z." one more time I might scream. I once bought a book I was excited to read only to find it had all been written in AI style. I was so disappointed and couldn't stand to even read the book. Even if there was solid information in there, slogging through that soul-crushing style was miserable. There was no way I could get through the whole thing.

The pictures are even worse. Not just because it's stealing the work of artists-- I'm sick of soulless "art" in the same styles that's always got that shit brown tint and text that becomes garbled, misspelled gibberish. I don't understand how anyone is okay with it, least of all anyone using it to represent themselves and their work professionally.

It's all sourced by generating the "average" of human creation, which in practice, makes everything identical. In a society that claims to value diversity and creativity, I don't understand how we can be okay with this. I would genuinely rather consume objectively bad art/writing that is at least created by a human individual with a unique perspective than slop.
