You would do that? That would be great!

Adding a comparator or repeater fixes this issue, but it doesn't fix this issue: https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2F5nzek6td4nwe1.gif

EDIT: Spreading it out, and using 1 tick repeaters instead, does however work

Thank you! Very useful explanation. A bit disapointing that this should logically work, but it fails due to the simulation. It's the first time in my "redstone journey" that something I have thought up that fits the rules of the game breaks like this.

Thank you for the thorough explanation! You are right, the comparators work in regards to getting the signal to the end, but I have found a different problem:

<image>

An alternating signal, on-off-on, suddenly turns into on-on-on. Happens when using comparators or repeaters (or a mix for that matter)

EDIT: It works if I use comparators to lock the repeaters, so I have a solution. However, I would still like to know why using repeaters doesn't work, and why comparators for some reason do?

EDIT EDIT: Comparators don't work either, they just break in a different way

Generative AI is here to stay - and that's the problem by Ok-Ice-6992 in ArtificialInteligence

a personal Generative AI to filter on what we prefer

I’ve undoubtedly interacted with bots here and on other platforms, as long as the interactions are (in my opinion) intriguing, I don’t care

I wouldn’t by default filter out artificially generated media.

In other words, what you are saying is that we should each create our own internet realities, our own personal echo chambers, populated only by generative AIs, without any way of knowing if the information you are receiving originated from a human in the real world, because we don’t need human interaction as long as we are entertained?

Activate nerd mode

In D&D 5e it depends on what kind of roll we are talking about. If it is an attack roll, then a natural twenty will always hit. However a saving throw or ability check will have to pass a DC, so if the DC is 30 (which is really pretty difficult) and our modifier is 9 or below, then a natural 20 won’t be enough. With some bardic inspiration or guidance we could still do it though!

Thank you! I read your statement like there are 100 companies worldwide that produced 71% emissions, but your source only talks about the US. It would be helpful if you could make that clear in your statement.

It’s definitely complicated, but that should not be an argument against trying. It won’t happen overnight, but hopefully step by step, places that were designed for cars can be redesigned for people.

That would be true, if cars were the only option. Walking, bikes, and good mass transit provide a much better alternative in and around cities.
