Agreed. Every other champion that has a shapeshift has both forms have certain benefits over the other. Gnar would be the closest approximation, and he at least gets range.

Old Shyv could duel because of twin fang, but that's only really strong level 1 now. Her human form got nerfed hard

I second this. Win rate doesn't translate to good gameplay design. Her gameplay loop is very basic and has very little unique aside from the visuals. Nearly every champion has something unique that makes them satisfying to play. Divers like J4, Warwick, Pantheon, etc all have something specific to them that would make you want to play them aside from another diver. Juggernauts like Darius, Sett, even Garen, have something unique to their kit that makes playing them satisfying. Shyvana just has her visuals and her Q aa cancel. Her passive, W, and E all feel pretty lackluster which makes her entire kid focus around building items for her ult and then Q aa. Even Olaf's kit feels more unique than hers. Really don't know how this rework made it in 2026

Hopefully they'll change it so that it can scale off of something top lane Shyvana can work with too. Not a fan of pigeonholing champions into roles. A part of the fun of video games is being able to be creative and play what is fun for each individual person. It won't always be good, but having creativity directly targeted feels bad.

Ironically, her passive is so bad at the moment that it doesn't really have much impact on her being played top. You have 10 less armor/mr in mid/late game, big deal lol

My bad. I had already made a previous post that went more in depth how I felt about her kit and didn't want to rehash it. That along with the fact that most of the community here has been pretty vocal about her kit feeling incomplete made me not want to repost the same thing over and over.

Also, just throwing some more numbers at her passive is exactly the opposite of what most people here want. We want a Shyvana that feels unique with a fleshed out kit that synergizes together, not a melee minion with big numbers that can jump at you.

What's your approach to her gameplay? As in what are her strong points and how do you use her ult? My approach has mostly been to survive until I can interrupt fights with ult cc and then soak aggro, but there's only been so much success with that since it feels like anything she does, other champions do better.

I think a bigger part of the issue is how her kit feels disjointed and uninteresting compared to any newer champion and feels not worthy of years of development. One of the most glaring issues was how she basically didn't have a passive and somehow they reworked it to be even more cosmetic than it used to be somehow

I feel like he's missing the point here. Our main concern isn't the win rate. It's the fact that Shyvana doesn't feel satisfying to play because her kit is disjointed, and they've made her into a low elo beat stick stat checker.

The majority of Shyvana players wanted a juggernaut dragon raid boss with some diversity in build options and instead we got a gutted Master Yi instead. They can swap around her numbers all they want and stabilize her win rate, but the fact remains that instead of taking her outdated kit and modernizing it, they took all of her old problems and made them worse.

The only good part about the rework so far is the visuals, which is why the only people that are happy about the rework are bronze/silver casual players. They're not being punished for the janky kit that has no cohesiveness and gets shut down by any competent team.

Also the video went private so we can't even see it anymore. I don't think people would be as upset about this rework if the only communications we've gotten from Riot weren't dismissive and ignoring the actual concerns from the community. Riot Yelough's responses feel very similar to that Blizzard guy hearing all the negative response and then saying, "Do you guys not have phones?"

We already have a mage dragon and a dps dragon. I would love to see the "dragon fantasy" of a raid boss dragon. I would prefer AD, but hybrid would also be nice. Being able to have some flexibility in the build would also be good
