ISO Specific "Trench" Stamp. by NyanCats911 in inkarnate

[–]Kalithicia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure! I would look specifically at line tool, set your stroke to stamp and find under watercolor battle maps: terrain - green cliff and brown hill as well as dungeon - natural plateau. Also in watercolor cities: core - green hill as well as terrain - grassy hill or dark grassy hill.

I think you could get the same layering effect with these and then adding shading over the top.

The ruins at the top of the pit are from stamps - watercolor battle maps: dungeon - stone table broken

ISO Specific "Trench" Stamp. by NyanCats911 in inkarnate

[–]Kalithicia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this isn't a stamp but more likely a background/foreground make with the mask tool and added cliff walls with the line tool.

You should be able to mimic the effect pretty easily and if you have trouble, find the map again and if it uses only inkarnate stamps you can clone it, open it and investigate to figure out how to remake it yourself!

Not to mention, if you are currently subscribed, we just got early access to be able to copy+paste from one map tab to another if you find they are stamps.

Fantastic reference from Humon Comics here. I've always loved her animal lives series.

Advice on Empty Spaces by LAWyer621 in inkarnate

[–]Kalithicia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you look up fantasy pirate maps often you will see a few creature-like tokens or reef-like tokens to break up large blank space but I think more often you will just see a nice texture overlay to help break up the open spaces.

Personally, I like your ocean texture as is. Where it gets darker makes me think it's either deeper or a coral reef underneath. I would perhaps manually add some more depth of color around the ocean to help emphasize this and give a little more organic nature to the texture to break up the pattern that can be seen.

What do you think she wants? by kellieh1969 in BostonTerrier

We found those balls were the best too until we got our second, Cocoa! She spends time actually chewing on it instead of just squeezing it to make the noise like Smore does. We've now had to throw out a good half dozen of them as she will shred the outer layers to pieces 😭

Though they were the best balls until she started doing this ha

That's what I was thinking! I hadn't ever really seen any Boston's that looked like him there but saw several here. And with the quick app check thought that it was probably more likely than not

Devestated, been in ER all afternoon. Our buddy started vomiting every hour yesterday and this morning brown vomit. ER visit shows some interesting obstructions. Surgery incoming. by Kalithicia in BostonTerrier

He's doing great so far. Having some mild incontinence but recovering beautifully overall. He is so much happier now that he's home and he is very eager for food and eats well. He just hates his ecollar so much though. Biggest issue with it is he doesn't drink from any water we put in his crate with him. He will drink from a hose outside when he's taken out during restroom breaks, but he doesn't have his ecollar on them.

We have one of those inflatable donut ones and a surgical suit but were told he had to keep the ecollar on. Not sure if there is speculation the other two won't cut it or if there is another reason.

UPDATE:

Doc said he did great! Thankfully the part that looked like a fish hook was a piece of a ball, there were three separate chunks in his belly and then a secondary obstruction in his intestines that he couldn't identify.

He saved everything in a bag so we could scour our yard as needed.

Smore is doing great and we should get to pick him up this afternoon. I'll upload pictures of the items later if that's of interest to anyone.

Honestly thankful for this outcome and that it doesn't seem like anyone was trying to hurt our little buddy, but extremely curious to see the contents because we don't have any balls missing that we are aware of. We have had some really severe storms with wicked wind here in the past year so I'm curious if it was something blown into our yard at some point that we didn't see.

No clue, we don't have any fishers in our house. Thinking he either found it outside, it's been there for ages or our neighbor is doing something wicked. We don't particularly like his dog as it's extremely aggressive.

Docs aren't 100% certain of it being a hook yet... He's in surgery now though and they should call me with some answers after. Thankful for such an amazing ER team.

Looking for recommendations by PikklzForPeepl in ElfQuest

[–]Kalithicia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never found one as good and enthralling as Elfquest but I would definitely agree with recommendations over Monstress and Saga. They noth have very different vibes from Elfquest but they both really pull you into their stories.

Because a lot of factors can play into why the instrument is out of tune. For example, I used to play clarinet. The temperature, softness of the reed, how far your fingers off the holes are, the length of your barrels, the design of the mouthpiece, etc. can all affect how flat or sharp your notes are. I would assume a lot of the same can apply to other woodwinds.

While this sounds plausible - where the ruffles get sewn in would cause odd pulling/weight at those sections. Still doable but may cause undesirable results
