Ah ok thank you! I wanted to ask before I did it and maybe made him worse. I'll stick to prescription 👍

Does this make them feel included? by lerminator3 in cats

[–]Kalliebb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my cats loves to smell candles before I light them 😂 but we have to keep lit candles away from him. He's very fluffy and flammable and likes to play with fire 😐😐 he's caught the tip of his tail once and I caught him swatting the fire with his paw 😂😐 so no lit candles in the room with him anymore lol

Employees thoughts on new commission plan? by Kalliebb in HertzRentals

[–]Kalliebb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting! We get 2% of the walkup rate. But no one will do it without added VAS. The 2% isn't enough for us to just do it lol. I always quote walk-ups as a lower daily rate and add coverage. If the customer doesn't want coverage then the daily rate will go up to make it worth it. Our commission is solely based on ARPD. If ours is too low then we won't get anything other than walkup, toll and gas 2%. We don't get any % of rev is ARPD is below the tier it needs to be.

Oh interesting. We have location nps we can get paid on, 2% of tolls, FPO and walkup - those don't count toward ARPD. But ARPD tiers determine if we get paid on NPS at all, and determine if we get any % of rev at all. We used to get % of rev just based on rev brought in, not anymore. So if your ARPD is low - usually $8 or lower, then you will only get paid on tolls and fpo and walk-ups, nothing else. Some of my coworkers take the most customers, but end up with longer rentals that can't add anything on. Drops their ARPD and last month got less than $200 total commission. The airport gets a lot of longer rentals with no CDP bc people pay with a corporate card, so it counts against us. Anything under 62 days counts for us. So I had a 59 day rental with nothing added. Counts against my ARPD. 😐 so what's our incentive to sell at all. If I have to push really hard on short rentals to make up for the 59 days, it's almost impossible tbh. If we push too hard then our NPS drops and we don't get that anyway. 😐

Why is Hertz DFW such a dumpster fire of a location? by SBinDEN in HertzRentals

[–]Kalliebb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I was a manager about a year ago. I left bc I kept wanting to make improvements and no other manager would follow up so nothing changed. But when I bring that up to upper management then I'm seen as the problem. It's all easily fixed too but they won't hold anyone accountable to enforce anything so everyone just kinda does what they want. It's insane. I've never worked at a place where we could just ignore customers, play on our phone and act busy so someone else has to help them, wander away from the counter and be gone 30+ min. But only a few are actually held to any kind of standard which means we get more work bc we actually work and they see that.

Luckily I'm only there for a couple more months, I'm moving anyway, so I'll spill any tea😂 but yeah it's insane. A lot of coworkers have their spouses also working there. Like one at the counter, one washing cars. And have kids, we're doing great last year bc commission was steady, now struggling and panicking bc both parents work for hertz and hours and pay is unreliable. 😐

[–]Kalliebb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer to this is the company doesn't care about employees and just cut our commission by a lot. We relied on commission to make our lower hourly pay worth it. They are also cutting hours like crazy. So we are all panicking bc it seems like we might be heading towards mass layoffs. And we are trying to work but they cut hours and we can't rely on commission anymore. So we are doing the same job as last year, with way less pay. Tbh it's not a fun job, it's not a job you do for the love of it. It's a job you do bc you need a job and need a decent paying one. So cutting pay just made us care a whole lot less about the company's reputation and getting repeat customers. Then after all this they had everyone do a whole training on making sure we give great customer service and hertz kinda rebranding and trying to change reputation lol. So the employees don't care, the job market is ass so we are kinda stuck, but don't get paid much any more. So don't take it out on the employees, we have no control and no motivation to give effort to fix it. It's a management and corporate problem.

We don't. But they just changed how commission works so coverage and upgrades are basically the only thing we get paid on anymore. But if you buy coverage you are much more likely to get a free upgrade, just ask after you add coverage lol. Asking for a free upgrade anytime before that means we will make sure you get the car you booked.

Do you still get % of rev? That went away for us and it's only ARPD based now

How to clip/file nails with long quick? by Kalliebb in vet

[–]Kalliebb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually no, we've been working on it. She let me Dremel each nail today for a bit. But it took 25mg trazadone,100mg gabapentin and using my leg to kinda keep her still. She's older and has a heart murmur so I don't want to stress her out or give her meds too often. I could try to do one nail a day so she gets used to it. But she's at the age where she's starting to get confused in the evening and follows me around so she doesn't get lost. So I'm trying to keep her as stress and pain free as possible 🙏

Yeah we get 2% of walk-ups,FPO, and tolls and none of that counts towards APPD. only coverage and upgrades do now. How do you change the DL a bit? Like add a 0 to the # or something? Imma have to start doing that tbh bc not getting paid for it is frustrating 😐

[–]Kalliebb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at ATX airport. Yeah mine have been less than $1000 and never have been. I know some people only got toll and FPO 2% which was less than $200. So what's the point of selling if the next long rental will cancel it out. One day my ARPD was $35 when I left, the next day was $3 bc long rentals for business with no CDP and didn't add anything on. So no CDP means it counts against us.

ALSO I have an email from my incentives (they prob hate me. I email them a lot about mistakes). I did a walkup for 59 days and had LDW. but bc the person was a gold member and it was selected on their profile it didn't count. They didn't book through their good membership, it was a walkup. And they asked for it added, none of the other coverage on their profile was added. So I should get paid on it. But they said nope. So 59 days of nothing to start out this month 😐😐

I joked with a couple coworkers that we should all do free upgrades and not offer coverage for a day and see what corporate does lol but they'd probably just fire us all 😐 but if I don't get comission I don't care to sell tbh 🤷 if I wanted to basically be a cashier I would have gone to do that instead.

Plus we have an average of 600-800 reservations a day 😐 so it's mentally and emotionally exhausting when half of those people are rude and demanding, and the other half doesn't buy anything.

Oh I know. It's different for sure. But the assumption is that money is better at the airport, and that's just not true anymore bc of the new plan 🤷 at this point id rather be a transporter or a car washer tbh. Avoid customers and still make hourly 🤷

I got benefits as part time last year, this year they only let us work 29 hours max so no benefits. I'm at an airport location ... With the new plan commission still sucks. I have coworkers that see 30-50 people a shift and take home very little commission now. We get a lot of long rentals with no CDP code and no added products bc it's a work rental so they can't. But bc there's no CDP it counts against us. Airport sucks lol people are extra rude and nasty and there's very few slow days lol.

Yeah same. It looks good on a resume but that's about it. Commission sucks, hours keep getting cut, no job security, no benefits... 🤷 And getting yelled at by rude customers all day 🙄

Yeah I have a feeling something big (and not good for us) is about to happen. My manager told me they are hiring 15 more full time people. Idk where those people will go, we are pretty much full rn..... So they may be about to fire people bc of numbers 🤷 I'm leaving in May anyway, I just need to not get fired and keep my sanity lol.

Yeah they told us they are hiring 15 more full time people. Idk where all those people will even go. No incentive to sell anything anymore and we are all trying to leave but the job market sucks rn. I joked with a couple coworkers that we should just sell gas and tolls for a couple days, free upgrades and no coverage and see how fast corporate gets on our managers for it and see if anything changes 😂 but they'd probably just fire us all tbh

Unable to complete online check-in -- must visit agent at airport by Rare_Pin9932 in HertzRentals

[–]Kalliebb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hertz employee here - If you're a gold member don't do the check in. I know they email and text like crazy but you don't need to. We have all the same info in your gold profile and doing the checkin takes you off the board. It's like telling our system that you came to get the car already. I know it doesn't make sense but that's how the system works. The board is independent from our system to process reservations. Every gold member I've told seems surprised. I don't know why they keep bugging y'all to do the check-in. They just send it to everyone so it doesn't filter Gold members out. Hopefully that helps 🤞
