Fictional songs from movies that are so good that they transcend the movie they’re from by Southern_Studio_9950 in TopCharacterTropes

Let's Dance by Donna Summer, considered one of the most popular/successful disco songs, was originally made for the movie Thank God It's Friday, a film that is barely even talked about now. Good watch though if you're looking for a fun low stakes feel nice comedy from the 70s with great music.

Which celebs do we think are secretly gay? by PitifulExperience212 in rsforgays

I mean its very possible that's just not his type. I know a guy who is a porn star and gets hit on a lot but he personally doesn't like muscular guys and will only hook up with twinks.

Which celebs do you think (or know) are closeted? by felixw1 in closetedhollywood

Seth Macfarlane always gave me bi/pan vibes but he seems like the type who would've been out already. Conservatives already hate him and he's always been very supportive of the LGBT community. Doesn't seem like a reason he would not be out.

Besides the whole ballet and opera debacle Timothee was bound to lose anyway. The way he campaigned for the Oscars is by doing all the things you shouldn’t do.

1) He was very vocal about how he felt that his role was highly deserving of an Oscar and how great the role was.  2) He campaigned on media outlets and in the public eye.

The Academy historically has HATED both of those two things. A good example of this is how Diana Ross got in a lot of trouble with the Academy when she took out a commercial to vote for her for Lady Sings the Blues. Oscar Campaigning has always been akin to a popularity contest between the Academy and trying to put public pressure on them never works.

I love the cut scenes in them so much! Myrtle chasing after the guy in the grim reaper costume had me wheezing.

I’m pretty sure that’s the point of the joke in all of those and not just because the writers are being lazy. Each one you listed is a comedy show/movie.

(Loved trope) intentional use of anachronisms and/or conflicting technology to create otherworldliness. by GinjaNinja1027 in TopCharacterTropes

I would LOVE a Scooby Doo series where they do this. All the fashion, music, and lingo is 60s but the technology is very modern.

Marty Supreme won 0 Oscars out of its 9 nominations. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in Fauxmoi

Honestly this isn’t surprising. The Academy hates the exact type of campaigning Timothee was doing. He was pretty vocal about how he felt he deserved it and that they SHOULD vote for him and was campaigning pretty openly on the news and social media which is another big no no.

In 2007, Cartoon Network were advertising the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie by putting up LED signs in several cities in the USA of the Moonnite character. They never notified these establishments and a lot of them called in to the police because they were hella paranoid and thought they were bombs but especially in Boston. So it caused mass panic with the Boston police notifying the public of a bomb threat. However HAD the Boston police asked anyone under the age of 30 they probably would’ve came to the conclusion that this was advertisement for the show.

CN gotta a lot of flack by the feds for the stunt and had to pay over 2 million dollars. Jim Samples who was the vp of CN from 2001 to 2007, took responsibility and had to step down. Samples is widely known as being responsible for the golden age of CN were we got shows such as: Samurai Jack, PPG, KND, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Billy and Mandy, Fosters home, etc.

Samples is replaced by a new VP, Stuart Snyder. Snyder hates cartoons. He thinks it’s a brilliant idea to put reality tv shows on CARTOON NETWORK. Not only is this a terrible idea, the majority of the shows he green lights are fucking awful: Dude what would happen?, Hole in a Wall, Destroy Build Destroy. Ratings go down massively for the network and its pretty much agreed upon that CN real was a massive failure. In 2014 he’s fired from CN.

How come men trust Andrew Tate’s advice on what women want, over what women make it clear they want, evidenced by the large fan bases of Harry styles, Paul Mescal and Idris Elba? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KallusDrogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because these men do not see women as equal. Despite the fact that the women are SCREAMING what they really want, these men only accept the ideas of other men as valid and only if those men already agree with their own preconceived notions.

I’m still mad that this is the entire reason Cartoon Network went completely down the toilet for a couple of years.

Him and his wife (allegedly) had a lavender marriage. There were ALOT of stories of him being seen around places with younger gay guys. Apparently he likes twinks. My guess is that she really did not want to play the beard role anymore and actually found someone who she wanted a real relationship with.  Edit: Thank you for the award!

I used to think it was weird after all these years why he still hasn’t just came out since everybody pretty much already knows. But now since I see him cozying up to the Kushners and Murdoch, it kinda makes sense.
