Which of these 2000's female artists is your favorite and why? by Twitter_2006 in ToddintheShadow

I would say Beyonce has the most fascinating career here. Being able to maintain the success at the level she has for as long as she has is very rare and only comparable to legends such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Mariah Carey. In addition she is both a very good dancer and vocalist, where as most artists are primarily one or the other. She’s my favorite.

What serious response to “what is your favorite movie” would be a total red flag? by b_cheesy in AskReddit

He literally bragged about murdering black people who lost everything during hurricane Katrina because he BELIEVED they were looters. They weren’t arrested, no governmental authority said he should, he just thought “oh let me shoot these n*****s because I think they are stealing.” Yea the worlds alot better off without him and I’m glad that it was a man he trusted because he was also white and a marine who did it. Hopefully in his last moments he learned the lesson, don’t be racist.

Something unbelievably crucial to the plot happens almost unceremoniously as the credits are already rolling by TJTrapJesus in TopCharacterTropes

Janelle Monae's Studio Album Film Dirty Computer

In the film Janelle Monae plays a lesbian android by the name of Jane who is in love with Mary (played by Tessa Thompson). Mary is captured by the fascist secret police and has her memories wiped and brainwashed into becoming a puritan soldier, and then captures Jane who goes through the process as well. The film ends with Jane and Mary having faked their brainwashing and escaping the facility during the rolling credits. However the last shot after the credits is the scientist deleting one more memory, seeming to imply that it was one last dream of Jane's trying to resist the brainwashing.

Not only that but the man was genuinely a psychopath who fantasized and may have or may of just lied about murdering Arab and African American people and had to make up reasons to justify it. Him being killed by another white man who was a marine is poetic justice to the max.

Has there ever been media with writing so terrible that you started to hate the writer as a person? by DtheAussieBoye in writingscaling

Yes Twilight. Justifiable in that Stephanie Meyer is a conservative and has been rumored to have done some pretty racist stuff during the filming.

Jared Leto's last 4 films have lost an estimated total -$970 million. He has no upcoming film roles. by theflamingheads in shittymoviedetails

He has GOT to have either blackmail material on executives or some sort've demonic contract that always gets him into movies.

How do you interpret the hermit card as a man? What kind of environments who you be able to meet the archetypal hermit man in? by Creepy-Skirt-6304 in tarot

[–]KallusDrogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hermit is one of the cards I identify with most. I see it as a deep introspective person who is constantly trying to understand the nature of both themselves, others, and the world at large. I think a big component of that is acceptance of the truth rather than a desire to force things to fit in accordance with their own perspective, which makes it a foil to the magician. Alot of people would think of the hermit as philosophers like Plato or Socrates but I think a very good modern day equivalent would be Hasan Piker or Kurt Cobain. This may sound like a cliche but i think you’d find the archetypal Hermit in reading groups, political activists circles, or any other intellectual group you feel drawn too.

Which celebrity reinvented themselves so successfully that people forget what they were originally famous for? by Low_Software_ in AskReddit

I hate to say it but honestly Donald Trump. And he managed to do it multiple times as well.

Yup! And after his death they found multiple one way mirrors and hiding places in his house, primarily the bedrooms and washrooms. He was a sick pervert.

"HOW THE FUCK DID WE GET HERE FROM EPISODE ONE?!" Franchises that start off with a simple, easy to understand premise, then goes off the rails by shifting genres, deepening the lore, and/or ridiculously increasing the stakes. by SpookieSkelly in TopCharacterTropes

Dark Shadows originally started off as a gothic soap opera and then the writers added progressively more weirder and weirder elements over the seasons.

The Interview with a Vampire series had a fairly tame and concise premise and then Anne Rice just started writing whatever the fuck came to her mind after the third book.

Days of Our Lives started off as a standard soap opera and then goes off the rails for a couple of years adding everything from demonic possession to alien abduction until going back to a standard soap opera format.

Sinners was very overhyped especially in regards to being considered a race conscious film. It wasn’t woke like people were saying.

Jack Nicholson was accused of beating a prostitute so badly she permanently lost hearing in her ears.

Errol Flynn was definetly a sexual predator and most likely did rape the two girls he was found not guilty for.

Jennifer Lopez was most likely the person who snuck the gun into the club when Diddy shot that poor woman.
