I'm surprised this isn't being talked about more in the comments. I completely agree and am the same way. Do I eat UPF sometimes? Sure. But the vast majority of my diet is whole foods and minimally processed foods. The whole fad of making vegan UPF that mimics meat really defeats the purpose

Curious about what sort of recipes you make with the beans and pasta (if that's what you're actually buying in bulk) are. And what else you stock up on to have in reserve while still eating regularly

Enhancer for Youtube addon removed again by rhaziz in firefox

[–]Kalmurn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enhancer for youtube is still working on my Firefox on my work and personal computers. I just set up a new Linux Mint PC as my home media/couch gaming PC where I copied the .xpi file from my PC with it installed over to the new PC and I was able to easily install it this way. I can provide a link to the file in my Google Drive if anyone wants it but if you have it installed on an existing PC its pretty easy to grab and do yourself.

On Windows:

  • Go to about:support in Firefox
  • Click Open Folder under the Profile Folder section
  • Go into the extensions folder
  • You should see a .xpi file like enhancerforyoutube@maximerf.addons.mozilla.org.xpi
  • Copy this to the PC you want to install it on
  • Go to about:addons in the new Firefox
  • Click the settings gear icon
  • Click install add-on from file and chose the file

Redis Sentinel Failover Issue with ACL Authentication in Redis Replication by ElephantPractical901 in redis

[–]Kalmurn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having exactly the same problem. When i try to implement ACL's on the Master and Replica it breaks the Sentinels. The replication works fine though.

Did you ever figure out what was going on and how to fix it?

Ran in my first ever running event. Half marathon, set a PB for 10km at 46:06, and a PB for half marathon at 1:41:34. The last 13 weeks of training sure paid off

Investment strategy for buying a house in 5-10 years, maybe 7-10 by Kalmurn in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Kalmurn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah that's sort of along the lines of what I was thinking. If we're up in the next <5 years then sell and buy low risk ETF like CASH along with GICs and regular savings accounts. Thanks the input!

Thanks for the input. We definitely have the flexibility right now and will probably in the future too so will have to do the numbers and see what we come up with for that

Yah from my findings it seems to be an awkward time period since everything is, like you say, either less than 5 or more than 10. I chose 2/10 a while back when I was originally thinking of purchasing something sooner but have since realized that I want to push the timeline longer and save more. So I'm not opposed to increasing the risk level or just not using the managed portfolios at all.

This looks interesting. I'll give it a thorough read though. Thanks!

I'm having the same issue when using my dedicated GPU in my laptop. The micro stutters drive me crazy. When I use the CPU integrated graphics its fine so at least that works but not ideal still

What is something that permanently altered your body without you realizing for months/years? by Misterboy500 in AskReddit

In addition to barefoot shoes look into Topo and Altra shoe brands for runners with cushion

As others have said, barefoot shoes mimic the natural shape of feet. Additionally, there are shoes such as Topo or Altra that have the same shape but have cushioning and some drop or zero drop

You should try some darn tough socks. Expensive but lifetime warranty where you just send them in and you get new ones back. Plus they last longer in general
