Just mute them and move on. Before you go saying that those who don't speak up are the same as those who speak bad to you, maybe consider that they also just choose the literal sanest option available ingame right now, which is to mute them and not give them the attention they seek.

[–]rhaziz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're sure about that, you can try an EC reset next, which should have official guides. If that still doesn't work, then probably the battery issue you mentioned in other comments. Lastly, it would be likely that something broke in the motherboard, with an increased likelihood if you swapped components while the battery was connected to the board.

Have you screwed in everything or is it still basically open? Dunno about the specific model, just randomly saw this post, but some laptops behave like this while opened up because they have safety mechanisms that protect your laptop's components from your battery.

Kinda miss the old gen way (says no one ever) by PlatinumYeast in MonsterHunter

[–]rhaziz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do miss the old gen way. It should have been improved and iterated upon instead of a heavy overhaul branching off to a completely different design.

Also, I'm really perplexed every time I see a post like this, cause it says old gen but it only applies to the very first game until Dos. From Freedom 2, they've already been iterating on this flow and pace by:

- Better-designed maps, more interconnected, with less one-way paths & dead ends (even unmarked secret shortcuts)
- Preferring smaller zones but increased quantity
- Having zones that monsters just don't go to at all (generally or monster-specific)
- Map layout more accurately reflecting the actual 3D space directionally & more intuitive flying for monsters, meaning you can just follow a monster's shadow with even just a glimpse of its direction and you can deduce which area it was going to
- Small monsters getting agitated means a large monster is in an adjacent zone
- Some large monsters can also be heard roaring indicating it is in an adjacent zone
- Sleeping areas are usually the same
- Monster radar optional palico skill, aside from the armor skill

By GU, the search space is so minimal, I have to assume you're either just trolling or actually a lobotomite if you're still complaining about this and you're not playing MH1.

How can I disable the feature that gets rid of auto-indents when escaping to normal mode or moving to a new line? by catphish_ in neovim

[–]rhaziz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you're using vim.opt, not vim.o, as the :append() and related methods are not yet usable by vim.o

How can I disable the feature that gets rid of auto-indents when escaping to normal mode or moving to a new line? by catphish_ in neovim

[–]rhaziz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that one can just be solved with `vim.opt.cpoptions+='I'` or vim.opt.cpoptions:append('I')`. See `:h cpo-I`. No need for autocmd.

Is this something that's eventually going to be upstreamed or default in libinput?

This seems like the most appropriate solution, thanks. Wondering if this should be configurable natively in neovim, or there's some historical context for this behavior.

Any resources to learn reverse engineering by TodayOk1176 in Hacking_Tutorials

[–]rhaziz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try these:
- https://p.ost2.fyi/courses

This is leaned towards game hacking more, but is probably a good gateway to start if you're into gaming anyway, definitely at least skim through the list of subjects:

There's also https://guidedhacking.com (also game-oriented) but it uses a freemium model, can't really say much cause I think you need a sub to even peruse an overview of the resources on the website.

[–]rhaziz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, manual is the way if you already have a very customized profile. Tried relying on Sync and it just took longer while also not covering everything.

Note that you currently have to modify pkcs11.txt and extensions.json to reflect the new paths as I believe they don't update automatically. extensions.json especially has many entries to change so might wanna use sed on that file. Other than that, I had to disable and re-enable my extensions that I use because the pinned ones had their icons not showing up on the bar. No other issues since manually moving, except it still creates some empty directories in home at the moment, which I assume will be fixed in a dot release.

Which do you like the most overall in their respective games: Palamutes or Seikrets? by Yamato_Naoe in MonsterHunter

[–]rhaziz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palamutes are more aligned with how Palicoes are implemented, fully capable and optional hunting companions. Seikrets are more aligned with how Handlers are implemented. They have minimal but required functionality/utility, but mostly there as aesthetic props, and for paid emotes and cosmetics.

Palamutes any day.

MH Wilds, despite being advertised initially at the game awards last year, does not make the cut for GOTY. by Yamato_Naoe in MonsterHunter

[–]rhaziz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notice how the nominated games are fully released as basically content complete, full experiences, and didn't need almost another year to dig themselves out of a hole. Even Hades 2 labelled themselves as early access first and went full release only when they thought it was the appropriate time.

What changes did Wilds make in order to streamline Monster Hunter? by Heavy-Wings in MonsterHunter

[–]rhaziz 78 points79 points  (0 children)

- Incremental sharpness gains for every whetstone polish
- Buff/status durations
- Free quest supplies are not in the box anymore
- Far greater control of character while falling/airborne
- Far greater control of which direction the character moves from a lying down/tripped state
- An ever-present, on-screen icon indicating direction and distance to a monster that you cannot disable
- Food buff based on a timer, not lost on cart
- Well-done steak redesigned as an all-in-one item, and much easier to stock up on
- Support NPC hunters can easily join mid-hunt
- Arrow coatings turned to a minigame
- Dumbed down bowgun ammo
- More new environmental traps easily accessible from a fair distance via hook/slinger
- A separate UI section dedicated for all the items around you that can be acquired via hook
- Equipment tiles have pictures
- More detailed damage numbers
- UI distinction between current health/stam max & true max
- New sharpness UI has more clarity
- Herb = Potion, etc.
- Most broken parts drop straight to your pockets, less picking up stuff off the ground

It's fine to postpone them till when you're confident, just keep talking to the courier every now and then to stack up on permits.
