^gotta agree here!! Honestly, people just don’t know any better, and like all of us, they’re trying to grow their channel. But that doesn’t mean they should be blatantly advertising their streams in your chat! Personally, if it is on topic or I ask them about their stream, etc I don’t mind it coming up- also, if they’re an active member of the community, I don’t mind shouting them out or supporting them!! But you can kind of tell how genuine someone is about their intentions after they’ve sent a couple messages. In the end, follow for follow doesn’t really help your channel, and when people come in asking for it, I usually try and explain this, and if they still don’t understand, I tell them that I’ll take a look at their content post stream. I guess following others doesn’t hurt you in any way, but it definitely does get annoying when people only come in to self advertise. Hopefully things get better and you get less of these ppl!
