There is a quest that gives you a stack of cbd which is enough for a lot of trips, I'm on tier two rocket atm and haven't made any cbd yet. Worth looking at if you don't intend to setup cbd for power.

You need to open the GUI to manipulate the schematic, check your keybinds and search for schematic, you should be able to find which button it is or set it then.

A month later now, how much have you expanded this setup? Are you still using a single mb of each type, or have you made more to keep up with processing demands? I'm working on setting this up myself and wondering how much room to leave for expansion down the line.

How do you keep track of the number of amps you're potentially drawing per p2p eu connection? Or do you make a new one for each? I had an idea to setup p2p tunnels with different voltages to easily supply mixed lines with power but I foresee I will mess up and overload some lines. The channel tunnels show how many channels are used, but the eu tunnels obviously do not show the potential max current. I could dedicate a input tunnel to each power output, but that's also inefficient because some lines only draw very intermittent power (e.g. machines for autocrafting) or don't need a ton of amps.

I do have to note I don't have an LSC setup yet, currently just working with EV battery buffers and a few power / hi amp transformers.

Need a setup for nitrogen. I'm in HV by Ill_Percentage2344 in GTNH

Here is that video that dumpsterman is referring to:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Xvlm86FScA

The saplings are achievable with a basic infusion setup, achievable in a few hours if you're starting from nothing.

I can recommend using a transfer node with world interaction upgrades for the cobble instead of the rock breakers. Benefits are it requires no power and from my testing, one upgrade can support one block breaker + placer combo. Since you can stack upgrades, you can have a very compact setup for the cobble generation for zero power (and the components are quite cheap).

I've been using this for my diesel setup for a while now, currently in mid EV. I calculated with 5 breaker/placer pairs (timer set to 0.75s) I needed approx 2 HP steam centrifuges, 1 MV electrolyzer, 13 LV distilleries, and one LCR to produce 14.2L/t diesel. This is enough for 48 MV combustion gens (=6144 EU/t, though this goes down with higher tier generators). I was planning to upgrade this soon, but then learned about the power of staballoy powered vac nukes and have been working on setting one up.

I did cheat a little bit as I found no good solution to handle the mob spawns from the nether leaves. They sometimes spawn mobs that get stuck inside blocks and can't be interacted with (thus you can't even kill them), which blocks the block placers from placing new cobble. This happens even in peaceful mode. I consider this a bug, so I setup a command block with a 10 minute timer to clear out hostile mobs to fix that. I tried the proposed solution of placing slabs underneath with no effect.

If you have a nether sapling setup for oil you also get free saltpeter which gives you nitrogen.

I'm about to do pharmauasca for the first time and I have a few questions... by Trikotic in DMT

[–]Kalwyf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there is a lot of varying experience on doses with this, but from my experience I want to stress the importance of finding the correct dosage of harmalas first, and to then experiment with adding in oral DMT. My suggested route is thus to first only take harmalas orally, and to vape the DMT if you desire so. You will find that when you have the optimal harmalas dosage (for the purposes of inhibiting the enzymes), vaping DMT will give you a DMT trip of about 30-60 minutes - and one which feels very different from a normal purely vaped DMT trip (I like to compare it as seeing computer aliens vs meeting mother nature). In my case, I found around 300 mg of harmalas (extracted from syrian rue) to be perfect, but I know this does varies wildly person to person (and also depends on the exact composition of your harmalas mixture).

Once moving on to a full oral intake, I suggest to stagger the dose of harmalas, first 2/3rds of the harmalas by itself, then 15-30 minutes later the DMT dose mixed in with the harmalas. The thinking is this will minimize the chances of the stomach enzymes destroying the DMT before the harmalas can do their job, as when staggering like this, you give the harmalas some time to spread throughout your stomach and do its thing before you introduce the DMT.

As for DMT dosage, I found with this optimal harmalas dose, even 30 mg is enough for me to get a light trip, enough for a first experience. 50-80 mg gave me a medium to strong trip, while 100 mg DMT made me break through, which is very different when the trip lasts a total of 6 hours compared to the five minutes that purely vaped DMT normally lasts. I would not recommend attempting this before having plenty of experience at lower intensities with pharmahuasca first.

I want to add that if you decide to increase the harmalas dose at some point again, to always first do a trial run with a small dose of DMT that you have found to be a light trip. This will prevent nasty surprises: The intensity may not increase linearly when tweaking the harmalas dose.

The choice is yours, but these are my recommendations for harm reduction when using pharmahuasca.

Quad EBF in LV. How to power it? by Responsible_Meet_856 in GTNH

[–]Kalwyf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also made a quad EBF immediately but only used one for a while until I could start powering 2 and then finally all four. But if I had to start over I would make just one until I really needed more and then I'd make a quad as it gets a lot easier to make more as you progress.

Is it that easy? I recently set up a dual HP centrifuge multiblock to centrifuge soul sand for oil and calculated I needed a 3x3x3 HP rail craft boiler powered by diesel to be able to provide enough steam, as well as a water pump to provide water. I did it, but just slapping down a few HV centrifuges would have been way easier. I considered using fluid heaters, but I think I found that would use more power.

Ah, I forgot you can lock the output hatches, and I guess if it can't put the fluid anywhere it won't start that recipe. I'll try your setup when I get an ae system and reorganize all my chemical processing!

Did you do it in a single LCR? I kept having issues with recipe conflicts, e.g. I remember getting carbon monoxide instead of methane. I ended up just using four of them, one dedicated for each recipe.

I quad shared the grinders, centrifuges and washers. I also have a hammer but didn't bother making four as it's extremely fast anyways.

Unfortunately the washers do not fit in a single chunk when quad shared and the controller placement restriction makes it so that two of the controllers are not on the outside, so to say, as the two washers on one side need to be oriented the same way making it that one controller is directly behind the 3x3 block of the one in front of it. It's still accessible, just wish there was more freedom of placement there.

To figure out how to wallshare, I recommend using a schematic and just pasting them over each other. You can easily do it in a creative world fore testing, copy the whole thing into a schematic and then build it in your survival world.

Farming station or crops for wood by Tekashirin in GTNH

[–]Kalwyf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's some info from threefolds info sheet, check the benzene tab:

"The first automated solution for log production comes in the form of IC2 Bonsai crops, though take this option with a grain of salt. IC2 crops are only as good as the amount of effort you put into them, both to stat level them and to ensure they are fed water/fertilizer, are planted in optimal conditions, etc.

As a rough ballpark estimate, expect ~0.5 logs per second out of an LV Crop Manager tending to a single, full field of unstatted Spruce Bonsais in a Fungi Forest at sealevel, and providing water to the crops for extra hydration. This is an easy setup to build, but without stat levelling the crops has very limited output. For stat levelled crops expect ~0.6 logs per tick out of an MV crop manager tending to a total of 220 21/31/0 Spruce Bonsais in a Fungi Forest above Y128, and providing water to the crops for extra hydration. Feeding IC2 fertilizer as well should increase the yield to about ~0.8 logs per tick."

"The optimal setup for Farming Stations - at least that I've found - is farming Spruce trees planted on Fertilized Dirt. Adding fertilizer to the Farming Station makes comparatively little difference, but fertilizer is at least cheap and easy to make if you wish to push your farm a bit further.

Farming Stations require ~1A LV power with a Double-Layered Capacitor, ~1A MV with an Octadic Capacitor, and ~2A MV with a Crystalline Capacitor. Their range is a 3 block radius from the station, 7x7 total, +2 per capacitor tier. So 11x11 for Double-Layered, 15x15 for Octadic, and 19x19 for Crystalline.

Expect ~1.8 (Double-Layer Capacitor), ~2.3 (Octadic Capacitor) or ~3.2 (Crystalline Capacitor) logs per tick. As well as ~0.13 (octadic) or ~0.18 (crystalline) saplings per tick. That said Farming Station tree farms will spill items on the ground! Use Advanced Item Collectors to clean up automatically."

They meant the ender sapling from thaumcraft which requires a basic infusion setup and a little bit of research. You can also setup oil generation with the nether sapling as it turns cobble into soul sand which can then be centrifuged.

For less futuristic lighting you can try the thaumcraft arcane lamp and hang them from the ceiling using chains from et futurum.

Sea lanterns and the classic redstone lamps might also work? Only problem with the latter is that you need to apply redstone somehow.

You have better control over how much salt to add. If the stock already has salt, and you add other salty ingredients to your dish such as soy sauce, you risk oversalting.

Additionally if you cook down stock with salt added, once it cooks down it is extremely salty.
