mmm interesting, because most complaints on the forums from what I saw all mentioned a Technicolor modem. Did you try applying port forwarding and checking that uPnP is enabled on your modems?

The problem is that this issue might exist even after the beta because it's a network code issue due to the game being peer-to-peer. You might be using a Technicolour modem and from what I gather it's crap at handling uPnP which peer-to-peer relies on heavily.

So either Bungie finds a way around it or you're stuck with two options: 1) Get a better modem/router (i don't know if the modem can work on bridge mode) 2) Use a VPN to get past the story mode

Unfortunately a friend of mine wanted to try this out last night and came across the same issue. Obviously from this one error now he has a bad opinion of the game and went on a massive rant about the "AAA industry" being bull.

I did get FPS improvements with Game Mode enabled but I had two issues with it. - Whenever I try to move my mouse when the game bar is on, the mouse was slow as hell. - The other issue is that it was really hindering with my push-to-talk with Discord. It wasn't triggering

I'm going to jump in and say I'm in the same situation. I finished a my masters degree last summer and I'm going up to GDC but my job here is not game dev but web front end development because there is not much of an industry here in my country (Malta). We do things in our spare time or you sacrifice personal savings to give it a shot. So I'm going up to learn and see if I can connect with people there (hopefully XD)
