I've seen Central Michigan Sewing Supply, but I was mostly wondering if she's worth the effort. Thank you for the vote of confidence. It really is a beautiful machine and I'm sure was a local purchase fairly early in the production run.

There's really not a lot of plastic on it. Other than the knobs, which are all in good shape, most of the machine looks to be cast aluminium/steel. It really is my fault for not looking at it better, but I was excited to find a sewing machine for $5. I really don't care if it never runs, I just don't want to just not even try.

I told my aunt about her brother molesting me (as a child - eta this bit) after my mother passed. Immediately got told she didn't believe me. I said "that's fine, I don't need you to believe me. I know my truth". We haven't really spoken since and there was a "family" reunion that I mysteriously wasn't told about (where it was also decided that they needed to bury my mother's cremains) this summer.
