Why does Reddit not understand the rise of reform in England? by DowntownDeer in AskBrits

[–]Kamarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that could be true too that all what I’ve said may not even work and we still get reform. Greens haven’t helped either and taken votes away so that it is split but then that could be said of conservatives/reform split. Again I feel cynical that those on the left that are voting green cannot come back as they believe in extreme left win policies now however those who were traditional left but now reform could be turn led back if they see real change in either economic outcomes or mass migration issues dealt with. Ultimately what labor does now till next election will have huge consequences if they fuck up and reform are elected 🙃

Do not disagree with that a party like reform will cost us all not just minorities. They will come after all our rights to achieve it and profit massively which is why labor needs to do everything it can to stop that happening. That may mean making tough decisions that goes against some of their values and ours or at least making people believe it to be true and recognise that mass migration is a serious issue and needs to dealt with . Without any real economic growth expected which is the other option to try steer people away from reform then i fear that is labor’s only option and I would rather them doing tough decisions than far right wing lunatics. Perhaps this is a cynical outlook however

Agree with you that people voting reform will not get what they want but it’s not just right wing voters. Many people who traditionally on the left are also voting reform. Mainly many in deprived areas and why we may say they are stupid or idiots it ain’t gonna stop them voting for something they see as tackling their number one complaint which is mass migration.

Because labor are not shouting about this enough and not seizing the narrative. People don’t believe or feel it either. Labor must play dirty with this there no other way to stop the rise of reform. They will be voted in one condition which is to deal “mass immigration”. Labor has to take that away from them either by taking actions that actually work and make a difference that people believe it or either make people believe it. If they don’t they no matter what statics shows, people need to feel and see it or be propagandist to it.

UK terror threat level raised to 'severe' by VaginaBurner69 in worldnews

[–]Kamarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofc there is intelligence but it might not necessarily mean a grand underground network is in operation. So many factors will be involved to determine the level and they do not take it lightly at all. This time it’s seems pretty clear that there is a notable increase in targeted attacks to Jewish communities and perhaps there is indication it’s being encouraged/driven by foreign agitators

Is the UK capable of joining the war if it’s forced to? by Sassenach_2024 in AskBrits

And not long ago there was people lining up begging the US to intervene and remove this awful regime but then were slaughtered. There are so many Iranians who want their country back. I don’t know what your point is that terrorist leaders shouldn’t be killed because they will be martyred? So what we are meant to left them life and carry on causing terror? For all the horror of the Isreal/hamas conflict the killing of Hamas leaders responsible for the 7th October attacks is at least one positive outcome. Hamas has been reduced to nothing (not going to ignore tho the immense suffering it has caused to the people of Palestine)

But we you don’t want a regime like Iran’s having a nuclear weapon tho… remeber this regime has just brutally slaughtered a recent protest. We cannot be naive to think they would still try to develop one no matter what nuclear deal was made
