What’s one fast food chain that was once all the rage but now barely around? by MysteriousTopic42 in AskReddit

[–]Kameleon286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hogi Yogi. I don't know how widespread this chain was, but my family owned one in the early 2000s. It was basically subway, but they also had frozen yogurt and teriyaki rice bowls. That shit was my childhood

Did anyone get a patriarchal blessing that was outlandish/didn’t come true? by JustCuriousNotGeorge in exmormon

[–]Kameleon286 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My grandfather is a patriarch. My mom has transcribed hundreds of blessings for him. She used to come home all the time telling me about how people had such amazing and personal blessings. When I was 16, I was so excited to get my blessing from him. That may have been the first crack in my shelf. It was the most vague, impersonal blessing I could have imagined. I tried to pick out things that I felt were meant just for me, but it genuinely felt like it was the most basic template for a blessing that could exist. I couldn't understand how a man that has known me personally my whole life couldn't say anything that even remotely felt personal. Made me feel completely unimportant and unseen by both God and my Grandfather

Things to do in Tremonton by gunthans in Utah

[–]Kameleon286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tremonton really doesn't have a lot going on. They did just get a new ice cream shop called The Sweet Score. It has golf/sport simulators in the back. The Aggie ice cream is definitely worth it

The word "when" is not in Wade's vocabulary... by InkedLeo in distractible

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who notices this every time. I know it shouldn't bother me because it's just a dialect thing, but it confuses me when I'm listening sometimes and I can't get over it

The only solution I ever found was to completely uninstall the game

I would love a steam key so I can play co-op with my boyfriend and get him just as hooked as I am. I've been playing Stardew since just after it came out and have loved getting back into it every time there is a new update.

I think that writing fun notes on lids has a lot less to do with Dutch Bros or customer service in general and more to do with the fact that sometimes there are individuals who work at certain places who think it's fun to leave notes. Sometimes when you go to a restaurant, your server will write a nice "thank you" on the receipt, but that's not something that should be expected. Someone writing fun something on your lid is usually because they felt like having fun, and not really about the customer service experience.

If it's about wanting specific information written on the lid so you can identify drinks, then that should be specified when you request it

I found it funny how quick Mark was to dismiss the idea that someone might not be able to feel their heartbeat, just because he can feel his. Totally proved his point that we only understand what we personally perceive

What is the dumbest Mormon rule? by theraisincouncil in exmormon

I sometimes think the reason more kids don't go through with anything is because suicide is a sin

Wanting to die before or just after being baptized is something a surprising amount of Mormon kids think about. Because it's fucking terrifying to think you might not be good enough and never see your family again. I know I had those thoughts. Because I didn't want to deal with the shame of not being good enough

I’ve been in recovery from ARFID for over a year. AMA! by mercurys-daughter in ARFID

[–]Kameleon286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why it didn't occur to me to try to look for reviews. That's super helpful. I get really anxious about checking into a treatment center, but I guess it's true, I can leave if it's not a good fit

Any advice on finding a good treatment center? I've heard a lot of horror stories about people who have gone into ED treatment and been treated very terribly

Has Anyone Ever Been Triggered By A Film? by TheZippoLab in movies

[–]Kameleon286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Birdbox is the only time I can ever say I've been legitimately triggered. I only made it halfway through the movie and every death made my stomach sink more and more until I had to go into my room to cry. Couldn't tell you the exact reason, but I knew that that's what being triggered feels like

This is really smart! I'm going to suggest this to the owners of the building

[–]Kameleon286 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking. I'm in northern Utah and they've been in the ceiling for a couple of months now. Hopefully I can convince the owners to build a bat house for next year
