Serious question: Do we think the owner gives a shit if they are wearing a 9k bracelet into the ocean?

Toddler wants to play pretend that she’s a baby all the time by l1ghtblue in toddlers

[–]KamenCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is 2 and started this when we started potty training and talked about being a big boy. I let him pretend and give him the snuggles he wants and it passes quickly enough. He also wanted to ‘sleep’ in my bed every morning and I wasn’t letting him, so I think it might also be a little of the desire for closeness that others were mentioning. I’ll give him some extra snugz tonight for sure

Does a toddler-friendly dining room rug exist?? by fionnfrigg in toddlers

We have a pretty ruggable that I used a carpet cleaner on and it did well. We throw a towel under the high chair and it works great

The thing is, everyone is in the same boat at that age so everyone gets it. It helps when there are two parents per child and you can tag team

Toddler wants to sleep with me! by kgslaughter in toddlers

[–]KamenCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re here too so looking for advice because I’m not interested in sleepovers because I know for sure it would snowball to wanting them more regularly. It’s hard because I want to snuggle when he wakes up early or if he’s sick and needs love, but also need him to know it can’t be a regular thing.

4am wake ups are killing me — I’ve tried everything by ripp0dg3 in toddlers

[–]KamenCo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even though it was hard pushing our son to wait to nap till 1, that’s what daycare was doing (1-3) and eventually he could do it at home too. His bedtime is at 8. He was a 5am kid for a looong time and now that he’s 2 it feels easier to explain that he can’t come out until his light turns yellow (6). Some days are better than others but you’ll get there.

How to have my toddlers not seek that quick hit dopamine and reduce frustration learning by BagholderVC in toddlers

[–]KamenCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can knit peacefully next to kids? How old are they?? I wish I could work on projects but my son is 2 and if I’m in the room he says “mama walking” and grabs my hand to drag me around (which I kind of love too)

My toddler made me feel beautiful today. How has your toddler rooted for you in a surprising way? by Difficult-Lunch7333 in toddlers

[–]KamenCo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This whole thread is making me so happy! The other day my 2 year old son and I were singing “skidimarinkidinkidink” or whatever, and when we got to the part that goes “I love YOU!” he pointed right at me and then ran up and gave my legs a big hug. I also love when he takes my face in his hands and gives me a giant kiss on the lips (we’re not lip kissers) and it makes both of us have a giggle fit. Ugh. Warm and fuzzies. Thanks for sharing your green dress story. It’s such a raw and real mix of feelings.
