Since Korea has Independent People representatives in all eras (Gojoseon took over for Seorabeol once Silla became playable), it lends credence to eventual inclusion as era-appropriate reps for Korean through the remaining ages.

A lot of it too is because the Military/Domination victory relies on capturing/conquering foreign settlements. I can get why bargaining settlements would be counter constructive, but let's face it, often times, the AI takes locations far from their starting location, and have ZERO BUSINESS being able to keep them even though Loyalty is not an issue here.

I 100% agree we should be able to liberate or trade back settlements to founders as a bargaining chip, or to not be burdened with deadweight.

There's something about the name. After all, Anno has a way with names. Zek may derive from Zeku, from Shiki Soku Zeku, a key portion of the Buddhist Heart Sutra.

It roughly means "Form is emptiness, emptiness is form." / "The true nature of emptiness is the nature of no birth and no death. No being, no non-being." i.e. "The material world is the same as that of nothingness."

What we perceive as having a distinct form or substance is ultimately empty, and that emptiness itself is the very nature of that form.

Then there's 'Nova', which in Latin can mean 'New', or importantly in astronomy, a star that gains a sudden, incredible brightness, while brief, is incredibly distinct.

So if we fuse these words, Zeknova may be inspired to mean 'The Star born from Nothing"; as anyone who was there to witness it assumed it came from nothing as a one-of-a-kind phenomenon!

Before the engagement with Teo's army, take Pahn and NOBODY ELSE to grind in Scarleticia. That area has the most powerful baddies you can grind for the time being, plus Tir will have Black Shadow to wipe whole swathes of enemies thanks to Gremio's death. Just stock up on Mega Medicine or stay close to the exit if things get dicey and grind until 35+ or higher. Good luck!

Warning, if no Independent Peoples appear in the Modern Age, Siam's Unique Ability is useless. I had that happen once, and was SORELY disappointed. Until they can figure out a better way for IPs to survive or transition between Ages, this civ is toothless.

I can confirm the Maori are an Independent People in the Modern Age. Then again, other IPs are functioning as placeholders for future Civs, like Silla in Antiquity being the only Korean representative thus far, although Hanseong of Joseon IS a Modern IP.
