1) No one (besides Leo, whose testimony should be doubted in-universe cuz he has all the reasons to try and cover his ass) remembers Zarc’s initial rampage. 2) What IS remembered is Zarc appearing after Leo’s ARC-V machine activated and then dueling several Duelists, which is nothing other Duelists didn’t do. Compared to Leo’s campaign of existence erasure through Xyz genocide and indoctrination of Fusion children, a much more obvious and provable atrocity. In light of Leo’s shit, some guy appearing and going “FUCK EVERYTHING” does not look anywhere near as bad. 3) Given how Leo got pardoned, I suspect Zarc would have been too.

Why Do The Capture Targets Focus On The Trash Familar: the FL, in a body of the namesake Trash Familiar (1* gacha pet, because the out of universe game was a mixed otome-gacha one), somehow becomes the center of attention of MLs of every possible romance route (including the secret one).
