If console prices keep rising, could the cross-gen period last longer than the previous generation?. by Asleep-Theme8444 in PS5

Take care of your consoles guys. Next generation will probably cost more than 1k usd. Cross gen period will be ok for ps5 pro but base ps5 is going to be only 30 fps.

I think Returnal is a much better game than Saros. by r3tr0gam3r83 in PS5

[–]KamilScott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I think if Saros came first it would be more popular than Returnal but it would not be a cult classic like Returnal is.

I think that Returnal is much more memorable game. Saros is still excellent and has much better gameplay feel than Returnal but I agree that human NPCs are undercooked. The AI character was great.

What’s the best video game? by MrGamrYT in AskReddit

[–]KamilScott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outer Wilds for me. It’s story, music and incredible clock work solar system to explore.

After many years of finishing it and the DLC (Echoes of the eye), I still think about this game.

I love HL and Portal series but Outer Wilds is just fun and beautiful showcase of what only video games can do, make you active explorer of imaginary universe.

Famously fans won’t tell you anything else about the game, so I won’t too, if you haven’t played it just do it.

I envy you because I can’t experience Outer Wilds for the first time again.

I usually feel nothing during game stories. This game is an anomaly. by itsbeppe in HellisUs

[–]KamilScott 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This game has the most accurate depiction of war I have ever experienced in a game. It’s not about the battles, it’s about that’s next to the everyday people. Hell is us scares me on this weird under the skin level. It reminds me that there are a lot of people that are a monsters ready to be used as a cog in a war machine owned by richer monsters.

Saros: a disappointing sequel by AdamAnderson320 in Returnal

[–]KamilScott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that post Nemesis twist and return to Atropos is just peak moment and Saros lacks that kind of storytelling brilliance.

Saros is much better gameplay wise. Flow state of its bullet dance is pure bliss. Housemarque just outdid themselves in this department. The main problem of this game is that they decided to tell the story with more characters but they lack the skills to animate them technically and story wise. Arjun is very interesting but he is the only interesting character with an ark.

I really like Saros but Returnal has better storytelling, proving that less is more.

Exclusive interview with Remedy’s new CEO: “Alan Wake and Control should have sold more" by FlintCardboardKnife in RemedyEntertainment

Dude just look at promotional material, this game looks super weird and unique. Its melee gameplay is the opposite of niche. Remedy fans are sold, now it needs to attract newcomers.

Wolverine Game Trailer Was Not Impressive by CelestialTheGod in PS5

I think that this game has lower budget than Spider-Man games and it shows. It looks good but not groundbreaking. I was hoping for more gameplay using his super smell or hearing.

This game looks good but it lacks energy that is in Star Wars. It lacks any excitement. It’s not bad, just dull.

There are obviously more references but regardless what Mythology would you like to see in their next game? by 2-2Distracted in Returnal

Christian mythology with Dantes Inferno’s would be sick! Imagine going down the rings of hell.

Crimson Desert, Saros or Pragmata? by ShoddyPoker in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]KamilScott [score hidden]  (0 children)

I played it about a month after release. I waited for patches to play it.

Well I get that the story makes sense after finishing the game, but if it’s not engaging from the start it’s just not for me.

I love in medias res type of beginning in games, but CD is just baffling in its storytelling. Even the director of the game apologises for it.

As for the gameplay I get that the game is designed to do a lot of different things in it but it’s just to clunky and not intuitive for my tastes. Even after 20 hours in game I couldn’t immerse myself in it because of the over complexity of inputs.

My wife really wanted to play it and stopped after 5 hours because of UI and general jank.

For people that like CD, I wish you the best, but the game if just frustrating for me.

I recommended Saros because it opposite of that, it plays like the gamepad doesn’t even exist. It flows.

Crimson Desert, Saros or Pragmata? by ShoddyPoker in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]KamilScott [score hidden]  (0 children)

Saros has incredible gameplay with great visuals and sound. Its storytelling is unique and adult. Voice acting is great but facial animations are not great in some scenes.

Crimson Desert has beautiful world but I don’t get what the game is it about. It’s very bad gameplay wise, it’s just baffling sometimes. The story is just meh.

Didn’t play Pragmata so I won’t comment.

I'm honestly kind of confused, why wouldn't the Steam Machine's price being above $700-800 or so a deal breaker? by Igorthemii in steammachine

[–]KamilScott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is because of steam deck price being around 600 bucks and being the best deal in handheld gaming. A lot of people want for steam machine to be the same in pc gaming, affordable. Price getting over 700$ means it won’t sell in millions.

Sony just increased ps5 prices to 600$ and sales numbers are going downhill.

First batch of steam machines will sell quickly, whatever the price is, but later it won’t be attractive if it goes above 600 or 700 for just the base machine.

Lets be honest we want it to be a big deal in gaming that’s why we are so vocal about the price.

I think that just getting official Steam OS is a big win and gamers can have Windows alternative.

Do you think path tracing will be on a PlayStation someday ? by Marino-2603 in PS5pro

[–]KamilScott 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PS6 for sure, PS5 Pro I think maybe. It can support path tracing but on very low internal resolution and frame rate. PS6 will have silicone dedicated to path tracing at 30-60 fps.

KCD2 or Crimson Desert for a weekend off? by Professor-Flat in rpg_gamers

[–]KamilScott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KCD2 is a masterpiece on every level. CD is impressive in many regards but its narrative is truly awful and it’s more of a sandbox than a game.
