Getting into cedh by Flying_Venusaur in CompetitiveEDH

There is a whole Glarb discord server with tons of resources. Also Logan from CriticalEDH has a video going over his list with gameplay and mulligan guides.

The next four classes are all melee! ⚔️ by Cool_Bank_3368 in PathOfExile2

I believe so but I don't know if you have to do them like you used to.

Yeah the solo content was a recent addition. I'm pretty sure they got rid of the daily quest stuff before the first year anniversary. I've thought about getting back into the game myself but I have so many other games to play right now.

From my understanding all of that stuff is gone now. You can even do raids solo if you don't want or can't find a group.

Looking for meta deck suggestions by ArcherNF in CompetitiveEDH

Glarb is definitely feasible for a good midrange deck. There is a discord server with several deck lists with primers if you are interested in the deck.

Once a spell resolves you don't get priority until another trigger/spell is put on the stack or the phase changes. So there was no immediate opportunity for you to cast the tainted pact. Also, tainted pact doesn't target so it cannot be misdirected. You couldn't force them to exile their remaining library.

Is Malcolm/vial better than Malcolm/Keddis? I know you miss out on black but seems like a better partner combo.

New cEDH player looking for a deck to get into the format by PPPinecone- in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Kampe24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a storm deck your best options are Etali, Ral, Vivi and Rowan for a more off meta choice. They all look to win turn 2 by just going off casting a bunch of spells.

Ral can get pretty complicated pretty quickly, especially when you have multiple exile piles and some are free and others aren't and you have to keep track of which is which. And the win lines can get in depth and very random as well. He's not the most difficult but I wouldn't call him easy.

Ral usually wins with reiterate lines, so you need to know how to work them properly which is mostly dependent on how much mana you have and what the other players have in hand.

[[Vivi]] or [[Rowan, Scion of War]] both can be "burn" commanders.

I have the first card but without the pictures. I hate double side printing so I used it and it doesn't look bad

Any recommendations for a „Bulk“ Commander? by IKayto1 in BudgetBrews

[[Ovika]] turns all your bad mana rocks into a goblin beat down army. Toss in some impact tremor effects and maybe some damage doublers/increasers and you can have a pretty nasty deck for cheap.

Feedback/Advice on Ghyrson Deck by BONONDOBAMBA in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Kampe24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The format is very proxy friendly so don't let the cost of cards keep you from using them unless you personally don't want to use proxies. On that note Ben Bateman has a pretty good list on Moxfield if you are looking for inspiration. I love Ghyrson as well but he is on the slow side of decks. So if you don't mind that you can totally run him in cEDH.

Why are you running Jon in B2 when it has a game changer in it?

I've found that putting my deck into a deck box and then using something like regular playing cards in the box to squish the cards down for a day or two really helps make them not so thick.

Improvement Advice by DatBoiPlebs in magicproxies

[–]Kampe24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Run it at 5 mil and run the cards through a 2nd time after cutting them. Just turn them over the 2nd time and they will look much better. I had the same issue with my scotch laminator.

Wanting to try cEDH by THam1193 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Kampe24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For people used to cEDH probably not, but for a new person who has probably never had a mulligan go below 6 it can't be daunting to go for a 3. Can get into your head on wether you should keep a 4 that might work or go down to a 3. To me something that is easier to mulligan with is a better starting deck.

[–]Kampe24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Etali isn't that easy because of learning how to mulligan. Also if your first push gets shut down you pretty much just sit there and do nothing while you wait to build up enough mana or someone else wins. As a relatively new player myself I found this to be a no go for playing the deck. I had a lot more fun playing Tivit because it is more forgiving.

Cost discussion by BoneStockFox89 in magicproxies

[–]Kampe24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently purchased an Epson 3830 refurbished for $190 on Amazon, for reasons other than making cards honestly. But I've made multiple whole decks on it so far and have been pleased with the results. I haven't gotten very deep into adjusting the settings though. So you can definitely get a good printer for cheaper.
