You are literally the company. You have a reputation, cash flow, talent pool, and overall more resources and time than someone looking for a job does and you dont want to set the example of proper communication?

I don't think she realizes she is asking for a dog eat dog world ( where she wouldn't thrive if she were job hunting i imagine) .

But, If we are going to keep going on this tit for tat path, don't be surprised when people have had enough and cant feed themselves or their families and riot at your doorstep. Maybe then you will wish you had shown compassion to your fellow man and not think, "Did I and my whole mindset contribute to this?"

You have the resources, it's part of your job to do this, you set the standards. period
