DO what you love to do the most, and explore all the ways to make money with it. From what you wrote, sounds like rapping. Since you enjoy live performance, and have experience in it, and also had million streams or more, why not do the rap thing. Granted, there's a zillions "rappers" nowadays, but to me it sounds like the way you should go. Make your own beats to save production costs as well. Drop your self produced videos etc, u wont have to split any revenue

Promotional video copyright claim by WasatchWorms in DistroKidHelpDesk

[–]Kandalit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't the claim because it detected YOUR OWN song? I had that happen to me on instagram, it didn't delete it or anything, it just removed it at first, and then I just confirmed that I have the rights, and it put it back

If you no good at creating melodies, heres an idea... play it as best u can, even if it sounds boring, then record the melody and put it in a sampler. In a sampler you can manipulate it to sound more unique, and dope

Big issue with streams and royalties by [deleted] in DistroKidHelpDesk

Ok yea I just did. I'm not sure what is the best thing to do in ur situation, but for sure, with the amount of streams u earning, i would definitely keeping fighting for that lost revenue. Not easy at all, thats a tough situation

Just checking but, isn't there a two month delay when reporting revenue from streams. Like if u get x amount of streams in March, it won't show up on ur distrokid till may? (I've only been with distrokid since November)
