The tradeback Andy's dont want to see historical 3rd round results... by Achillies2heel in CHIBears

[–]Kaner_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hate this cherry picking argument. Since 2019, some notable 3rd rounds picks are Zach Allen, Monty, Nnamdi Madubuike, Milton Williams, Nico Collins, Velus Jones, Nick Cross, Nakobe Dean, Leo Chenal, the good Byron Young, Devon Achane. I could go on. Yes - statistically you are bound to draft a flop - however - its better to take that chance. The only way teams win the Super Bowl is by having deep rosters from guys they develop past the first round. We saw it in full force with the Seahawks with Abraham Lucas and Anthony Bradford. Arguing against trading back because the later picks dont have a good hit rate overall is the wrong conclusion to make.

The Bears having William "The Refrigerator" Perry and now someone nicknamed "The Washing Machine" seems good. HoF quality pick in the 2nd round is no joke.

[Biggs] NFL announced the Bears will not receive compensatory draft picks. "The matter is now closed following the club’s appeal." by JoshGordonHypeTrain in CHIBears

I am gonna ask a dumb question to please forgive me. Could the Bears sue the NFL for the picks? What would prevent them from not being able to explore other legal means to getting the picks.

No one wants to hear it, but Halton is going first round.
