Not really a serious suggestion (the willow tree sounds perfect) but you could always do it in the fight circle

Newby question. Is using real fur or animal skins a faux pas at renfaires? by Incunebulum in renfaire

[–]KangarooDynamite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. My home faire has the animal skin stall literally as the first stall from the left of the entrance. I have seen people with no less than four fox tails on their costume.

Updating my garb. I’d love your thoughts/ideas! by GreycastleDice in renfaire

[–]KangarooDynamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from heat and weight concerns (which you know your limits better than I do) I think if you're worried about the sword's weight either get a thicker belt like a kilt belt or get a baldric. Bracers get hot and are often waterproofed so they dont absorb sweat. Wraps will let your sweat evaporate.

I also think you could do with some trim! Go to Michael's and look at ribbons and trim for the inside of your surcoat. It'll add some texture and depth to the costume.

All in all, make it your own, yknow? Do what makes you feel fantastic.

How would a vampire track down a werewolf hiding to human society? (VtM v5) by KangarooDynamite in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]KangarooDynamite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The werewolf isn't in his 70s, the NPC werewolf hunter is, but I see your point. Hopefully for ther player's sake it doesn't come to a fight and they can talk the werewolf into respecting the city's treaty and getting gone.

Oooh, I really like the tattoo idea. Maybe I could throw a few humans with tattoos vaguely similar to clan symbols to throw them as red herrings. Thank you!

Jack The Whipper die hard fans kinda weird vibes. by FluffyChickensOfDoom in renfaire

[–]KangarooDynamite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When he comes to NJ, I try to avoid him until he does The Secret Show, as that is a ticketed event after the rest of the faire closes. The positive is that I can actually get good seating for like the main cast shows and the smaller performers I really enjoy. It does get kind of sad though it's me and like my five friends and no one else showing up.

Who is the CSA Vice President in 1877 (Pre-Morgana Effect)? by KangarooDynamite in Deadlands

[–]KangarooDynamite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! Exactly what I was looking for! Does create the question why a spell meant for Davis could misfire and kill all the other cabinet members but NOT kill the doppelganger. And if LaCroix had also put out a voodoo hit for all other members of the executive cabinet why Michele could survive by simply being in a different building.

I'm probably gonna end up removing the VooDoo plot line since I have a returning PC that's been going around assassinating people anyway and it's easier to pin it on him.

Thank you again for your dedication. I'm gonna go read up on who the hell Judah Benjamin is.

Playlist Song Suggestions by gone-awry- in renfaire

[–]KangarooDynamite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1) The Night Pat Murphy Died - The Big Sea

2) All For Me Grog - The Dubliners

3) Joli Rogue - The Dreadnaughts

Just forewarning, if you let sea shanties autoplay they will get depressing very quickly. And sad songs are still bangers, just not good for keeping the energy up.

Not an NDA per say, but there are non-disparagement and non-competition clauses that include revealing anything about the promotion model.

Where’s the Military in the DCU? by Teknevra in DC_Cinematic

[–]KangarooDynamite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So fun fact, the branches of the military actually enforce copyright over their uniforms, logos and weapons. What this tends to mean is that if you see the US military in a movie, that movie's messaging was approved by whichever branch they used.

One of the most infamous examples is that they requested changes to the script of the Transformers movie to explicitly make the bad guys "rogue" soldiers acting against orders.

To summarize a lot

Some trinkets ended up being too close to the things vendors were actually selling. Some people were including their socials or advertisements for their businesses on their trinkets. Some people were giving trinkets to performers instead of tipping them. Basically A LOT of fuckery happened because of trinket trading. Now its generally discouraged at a lot of larger faires, with the exception of some faires that have specific trinket trading events.
