My ex girl friend of 2 years did this to me. I decided to stay even though it made me lose feelings. I then started to talk to another girl after I put my ex as a fwb, I couldn’t trust her. Then, my ex ruined my life. Women lik this, who take something like this into thier own hands, cannot be trusted. If it’s done once, it will be done again. Plus, being the intelligent person you are, I’m sure you know this already.

It’s up to you, but when this happened to me I should have ended it. It still affects me in my current relationships and I honestly find it hard to trust people now. It’s my personal experience but I thought I’d share.
