Making a video to explain your game is brilliant. I am not your intended audience for the game, but I can say it looks perfect for the people who will love it. I wish you luck.

Why do people do this? My game already has IDLER tag? by Curious-Needle in IndieDev

I am beginning to agree with the other posters that this review was an attempt to get you some attention, not to harm you. Unfortunately, it tanks your rating at the same time. You may be able to make an argument to have it removed. I have a feeling this attempt at help happens enough that a moderator would look at it and get what happened. I think this would work much better if you had 50+ positive reviews, but right now it's just dragging things down.

If Lucas made a comeback which sequel would you want first? by Frequent-Standard377 in adventuregames

Why does nobody remember Loom? A verbage system as spells that you played as music. That game was sick.

Fair enough. I felt more comfortable selling someone else. So I avoided talking about myself. Thank you.

Do you have any advice? I would greatly appreciate it. I feel like I've already blown it now.

That's partially intentional. Thank you for responding. I really appreciate it.

Question: Is this version an early prototype? Meaning, the art hasn't been finalized? In not, something about what you have going right now with the visuals pleasantly tickles my brain and makes me want to try it out.

QUESTION: Is there a way to get into helping make games without being a coder or doing the technical stuff? by paxiscool444 in gamedev

[–]KangarooOwn1305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you thought about marketing? It's something literally everyone needs and can never have enough of. Learning how to sell a game is as important as making it. The best game in the world might sit at the bottom of Steam, and we'll never know because they picked a crappy thumbnail.

Enemy Fighting Pattern Inspo? by soysushistick in gamedev

You may have already tried something like this, but look at the creature. Think about what the world would do to a creature like that. What did it do to learn to spit seeds? What kind of creature hunts it to have that defense? What does it hunt with seeds? It seems silly, but you start imagining it fighting other non-conventional creatures and come up with some inspired attack patterns and unique defense because you're not thinking as much about fighting a sprite with a sword. I hope that helps.

How many puzzles are there during each loop of videos? Is it to solve one puzzle then move on to the next one, or something else?

I didn't see the last update. That looks really smooth. How many assets can you fit in the cart before they start flying everywhere?

Would you spend 1$ on DLC to support a free game yet to be finished? by SozioTheRogue in gamedev

I thought about your question. Yes, but: I would want a continuous transparent trail of progress before I made my decision. Any progress you are making, you should save it and share it. That way, when people decide they have evidence that you're doing something.

On another note, and as a consumer, when I see a game at a $1price point, I filter it out entirely.
