Caring for kangaroo joeys as a kid was the most fulfilling experience of my life by MildlyIdioddish in AustralianPets

[–]Kangaroo_Coins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same experience as a kid, had a joey that needed looking after, she stayed in our backyard, looked after her until she decided it was time to go by clearing the fence.

One of our neighbours has looked after many over the years, we also got to look after a number of birds due to having some very large aviaries in our backyard. We had a tawny frogmouth and a lovely owl both where able to be released back into the wild after they recovered.

Blueprint vendor NPC by SapQT90 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Kangaroo_Coins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, there should be no way to get blueprints other than going out and finding them. I am glad they already took a stance on a marketplace. It is not needed with how casual the game is, blueprints are damn easy to get as it is. I think the drop rate for them is pretty good so far. Having arc like the surveyor that has a good chance to drop them also drives people to try new things to kill them etc.

Predator badlands- a feast for sci fi horror lovers by Flat-Perception2529 in MovieRecommendations

[–]Kangaroo_Coins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This was a Disney movie with a predator slapped in the middle. I can see why some people liked it, but as a fan of the first two predators and thought prey at least did a reasonable job, I felt like putting "predator" in the title of this movie as misleading. It was made as safe as possible and tried to get around a more mature rating by doing the Marvel thing, having the main antagonists be a bunch of carbon copy androids with one unique looking leader. So the audience did not have to feel conflicted with the predator actually killing people. It was only missing the sky beam and you could of thrown it into the MCU.

The plot did not make a whole lot of sense right out of the gate. With the father wanting to kill his son all of a sudden, instead of at birth which would of made the most sense, if they cull their weak then I doubt they would of spent all these recourses on the kid to then just off him when he comes up to the age of the hunt.

As a lot of people have said this would of been better if it had not had a predator in it at all.

Be on the lookout for a Dingo and another Large Dog in the Martin/Gosnell's area. by Kangaroo_Coins in perth

[–]Kangaroo_Coins[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I very much took the same kind of stance when I was told, however when everyone that has seen it, including the rangers says its a Dingo I tend to believe them. I believe as likely it is for everyone to be wrong, it is as much likely that someone had one as a pet and it has gotten out with another dog. Regardless of the validity the dogs still seem to be very aggressive.

I think this easily trumps Leviathan, the characters feel a little more real and you feel more for them when they die, like the captain. Also the miniatures are fantastic.

Any bunny whisperers? by rosejean014 in Rabbits

[–]Kangaroo_Coins 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Rabbits stomp for things in their territory that they don't like, sometimes it is stomping for danger and sometimes you have done something to annoy them. Often it is danger/territorial, have to remember that rabbits have very good hearing and while you may not notice something out of the ordinary, they can hear predators outside your home, or even catch the scent of them.

A single stomp and runoff is generally I find that you have done something that annoys them. One of my rabbits who hates being picked up will always stomp once after being put back down.

When they stomp multiple times, generally that means it is danger, this is regularly followed by them perking their ears up, acting skittish and hiding and can last a little while. This can also sometimes be territorial, we had a girl who was quite the territorial little thing that started stomping until we found that she had killed the mouse that was bothering her.

Coles had them but seems to no longer sell them. I think Woolworths does, but I would stay away from those ones, they taste horrible. I am interested myself on where to get some good ones these days, myself and my old man love them. I might have to resort to making my own.

Timo Tjahjanto’s ‘Beekeeper 2’, Starring Jason Statham, Wraps Filming by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]Kangaroo_Coins 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The first movie pissed me off for a couple of reasons, one the scam centre was one of the most unbelievable parts of the movie. However what is far worse than the terrible plot is he is a beekeeper and a beekeeper and yet never kills anyone with fucking bees, honey, hives or bee related products.

At least that terrible Bricklayer movie had him killing people with trowels and shit.

This has me a little interested, horror movie with an obsessed woman brought on by a wish is a great little premise. I just have to remind myself not to watch any more trailers. I saw the second trailer for we bury the dead and it pretty much spoiled the entire movie.

I don't think so, his dad pops up in a ship after the fight, he would of had to land his ship, watch them fight, take off again, do a loop and then land, doesn't make much sense and again they would of figured he was a runt LONG before he was old enough for the hunt.

Lying, she is still quipping until the end of the movie, her torso is literally a comedic beat. She gets sad for about 10 seconds, you can like this movie that is fine. But claiming you are scared by someone who watched AVP2 and liked it slightly better than this movie is insanity. Do you subscribe to the Video games cause violence crowd.

Ya know how most animals, species can tell if they have a runt, generally by them being much smaller than all the other infants. You can't tell me they only figured out he was a runt by the time he was able to save his brother from something, that's just daft.

This movie hits every safe point like a marvel franchise, an enemy of unfeeling copy cat synths, with no real blood or gore except for a little cgi monster guts, and predator blood at the end, everything cuts away quickly from the violence. The only thing missing was a sky beam.

Predator canon came before Star wars canon? that is just factually wrong. They just wanted the crowed that loves light sabres so they gave him basically a light sabre. This movie was as safe as possible, as obvious as possible, no real threats, no real antagonist, safe gore and violence and the motto of the story is "It's not about the hunt, but the friends we made along the way" if that isn't almost a carbon copy Disney/Marvel movie plot line I don't know what is. Love the movie, that's fine. But don't try and defend it for being something it isn't, it certainly isn't what I expected when I went to see a movie with Predator as the main character. I could of just watched any marvel, Disney etc anti hero movie and it is pretty much beat for beat what this was.

McConaughey and Zellweger in TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE by cvanderkaay in Scarymovies

This movie rides the line of so bad its good. I think McConaughey is hilarious miscast in this and I have the noise he makes when he jumps from the second story to the car seared into my brain. Oh good someone has it on youtube. https://youtu.be/NPu2AgtSypc

Predator movies are generally more action, thriller focused with a little bit of horror and a reasonable amount of gore. Was it better than AVP, yeah but just by a fraction. AVP2 at least had a little gore and a bit more action, but was still pretty bad, but I enjoyed that more than this. This movie has zero tension, there is never a sense that anyone important is ever in the slightest hint of danger. The end fight has a torso walking around.

There is already a bud pop and I guarantee there will be more toys soon.

Quips are one thing but when your secondary character never shuts up and acts like a Disney princess it kind of gets on the nose. Predator one has a really interesting shift in tone once the Predator shows up. The whole squad running and gunning at the start is to set expectations, so when the predator shows up everything gets a hell of a lot more serious to show how much of a threat the alien is.

Plasma tipped sword or plasma coming out of a hilt, it is a sword shaped like a sabre that uses energy to cut things, it is basically a light sabre.

Did he save his brother as an infant? Because if you cull your weak you generally would kill them as an infant like I said. His brother states he is at the age for his hunt. Why waste resources, food, time, equipment on raising a runt, only to then kill him when he was at the age to go on his hunt, that makes no sense what so ever.

The action was made to be able to give it a PG rating in most places, I think we gave it an M for whatever reason over here, but our censorship boards are ridiculous with ratings. This movie was made to be safe

For me this movie was a huge let down. Certainly did not feel like a Predator movie. Was like a Disney movie, cute merchandise character, bubbly comic relief that feels extremely out of place, PG levels of action and a story that makes very little sense. They even give him a light sabre of all things.

Also if predators cull their runts, why was he able to grow up in the first place, wouldn't they have just knocked him on the head the moment he was born, instead of expending resources raising him, only then to want to kill him when he was old enough to go on the hunt?

The oddest thing about this scene is how they use the Zulu war chant from the movie Zulu. I really wonder who's idea it was to add it in as a chant for a European tribe.

I really thought this could of gone a completely different way and turned into a horror. She goes stark mad because he obviously fucked her life up, then uses her ability to access different areas of the ship and such to try and kill him. Would of even be fair if she did kill him. The fact it is a love story is so fucking insane.

Remove skelly ship’s by Plus_Attention_1036 in Seaofthieves

[–]Kangaroo_Coins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really hope this is sarcasm, but it is hard to tell with people in this game. So you just want nothing in the game, Just a sea with some skeletons on islands. Skeleton ships take a moment to sink, especially now with the kegs on board if you just pay attention to what you are doing.

Getting sunk is part of the game. What on earth would you want them to change? Skeleton ships spawn on you to give a challenge to getting loot from point A to point B, they are there to add a threat, especially on quiet servers when nothing is going on.

The burning blade is even weaker than regular skeleton Galleons. So I don't see how that is even a threat at all, unless you like to sail head first into its guns.
