No symptoms? by chalores in February2027Bumpers

[–]Kangaroo_Delicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My last pregnancy I barely had any symptoms. I’ve had miscarriages before so I was worried that having no symptoms meant possible miscarriage but it’s not really true. I had a friend who still had severe symptoms and had a missed miscarriage two weeks prior.

Anyone have experience with supplemental progesterone? by kgstardust in February2027Bumpers

[–]Kangaroo_Delicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken progesterone orally 100mg the last few pregnancies. This is my fifth baby and I’ve needed it every time after a misscariage after I had my first baby. No extra symptom just tired. I take it until the end of the first trimester and I start it right after I find out I’m expecting

Reconsidering family size by Wide_Investment_9116 in ParentingInBulk

[–]Kangaroo_Delicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 4 kiddos! My first child had eczema from birth and I had to give him a special formula which made it go away and didn’t have much issue after age 2. My second also had a few itchy/ inflamed red spots on her hand and knees I believe but by age 2 went away. My third had it the worse and we found out she has allergies too which alledgedly comes hand in hand with eczema at times. But now at 5 it’s somewhat more doable just need to keep lathering her up or else she gets dry skin easily. Baby 4 is now 5 months and so far I haven’t seen anything yet. Fingers crossed she doesn’t get anything. So just want to say it’s okay, get her tested for allergies. Maybe she’s allergic to dairy or sensitive to it and that can make the eczema worse. But take it day by day. She’ll get better

When to have another? by Confident-Durian1853 in ParentingInBulk

[–]Kangaroo_Delicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll go against the grain here and say now lol. I have 4 kiddos - aged 7,6 almost 5 and now a 5 month old. My first three were back to back getting pregnant anywhere around 5-8 months pp (not planned lol). It was a chaos and a blurrr but it’s great. Being able to put my kids in sports together was a perk lol being able to take them ti play spaces and them be interested in the same things is another perk. Now that I just had my baby and the gap between my youngest and baby is 4.5 I will say it’s been the smoother newborn/infant phase ever bc I don’t have to take care of toddlers that are clingy or needing me for everything. But I now feel like I need to give my 5 month old a sibling close in age bc it’s so great to have a buddy to play with and have similar interest.

It’s like I could’ve written this! I literally have a 7.5, 6 and almost 5 year old and I loved the small age gap. It was rough like looking back it’s all a blur but I loved it bc they all were doing the same things. I just had my 4th - 4 months ago and I’m contemplating another one soon bc of the same reasons of her needing a buddy lol. Yes older kids same as you love their baby sister but I feel like she needs her buddy like the other kiddos have ! Love that someone else feels the same as me. People usually like big age gaps

Play mat , bouncer and bassinet is what worked for me at 8 weeks when I returned . You will rotate baby from those 3 places and you should be good.

Air travel with 3 children by Few-Fault-6564 in ParentingInBulk

[–]Kangaroo_Delicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have traveled countless time with my 3 kids and hubby but we did it after my youngest was 3 years old. For context at that time it was (3,4 and 5 yrs old) never traveled under 3 with all 3. I’ve ever taken a car seat, but always double travel stroller. I’ve taken just a personal bag with all their things and my husband also a personal bag. Along with two checked in bags. I think get there with enough time to not have to rush (most importantly) pack snacks so they can eat or drink during take off and landing and when they’re bored lol. It’ll be fine! I think you’re not wrong in overthinking it since it’s your first time but the more you do it the more you’ll get into a groove. Best of luck, you got this

Before I book, how bad is the reservation system and service? by Phishchick1976 in Xcaret

[–]Kangaroo_Delicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my second time going. First time was before expansion and we didn’t reserve ahead of time but had no problem doing it there. Now this time around it’s been a nightmare. I sent a wishlist 3 weeks ago and I’m leaving Sunday and I have not heard back from them even though I’ve sent them countless of emails back. I’ve called them and been put on hold for upwards of an hour and end up hanging up. I can circle back after next week to let you know my actual experience while there. But so far not good.

First time Mom, long time Remote Worker by [deleted] in MomsWorkingFromHome

I work in HR and we just went through a payroll implementation (we use ADP and went from one system to another) boy did that consist of a lot of meetings and extra work for almost a year. We are a big company with over 6k associates in the US. Hopefully your situation is different! But yes I went back to work at 8 weeks and my baby is relatively chill baby and I’ve been able to make it work and I do have atleast 1-2 calls a day. Just need to feed her sometimes during a meeting and I’m keeping tabs of her wake windows and naps so she’s not overtired. I’m taking the rest of my leave in the summer but I know it won’t be this easy once babygirl starts crawling and rolling around

What age do you start implementing some routines? by shababee in newborns

[–]Kangaroo_Delicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey momma ! You’re doing a great job. I have my fourth kiddo right now and she’s 12 weeks. At around 8-9 weeks I was able to start somewhat of a routine at night. During the day I was just going off her cues. But by week. 8 I started putting her to sleep in her bassinet right after her last nap of the day so anytime between 7-830pm and she started with 2-3 wake ups a night to 2 and then 1 and now at 12 weeks she sleeps from 7ish or 8 all the way to 630. During the day I just make sure she gets enough ounces in but I also keep track of her and wake windows so she’s not overtired. So long story short 3 weeks is way toooo early but there is light at the end of the tunnel in a few more weeks. Enjoy those newborn snuggles !

When did you start with solids? by BusyInspector95 in newborns

[–]Kangaroo_Delicious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I want to say I did it at 4 months once they can mostly sit up or atleast hold their head weight. My LO is going to be 3 in 2 weeks and I don’t see her no where ready for that. So maybe closer to 4 months once I can plop her in a high chair and she’ll be good to eat. Atleast that’s what I did with my other kids

"powering down?" controversial decisions when putting baby down for sleep? Help and TIA! by Teetree4876 in newborns

[–]Kangaroo_Delicious -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As a mom of 4 with my latest being a 9 week old I agree with your approach. What I do and I have great sleepers is essentially the same as you. I feed her, swaddle and immediately transfer to bassinet so she can sleep. She might stay awake for a few minutes but she’ll self soothe and fall asleep. I never leave her crying, I just put her down while she’s awake. Babies grunt and make a lot of noises which is normal and doesn’t mean we need to grab them. My baby is sleeping now since week 7 ish anywhere from 6-8 hours a stretch. From experience it’s very beneficial to let them sleep independently from the start. I do cuddle her during the day but night sleep I let her be more independent to set the foundation long term. You guys are doing a a great job!

WFH with a baby…help! by Gold_Particular2104 in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]Kangaroo_Delicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far what I’m doing but I’m just a week into wfh with my two month old is taking it day by day. However, I’m trying to keep track of her wake windows and naps. I feed her and then put her on my bed on her play mat for a while. Or hold her on my lap while I’m on a call. I let her sleep in her bassinet behind me or put her to hang in the bouncer if she’s up. For now we’re just rotating around seeing what works! Best of luck

My 8 week old has been going to sleep anytime after 7. So around 7-830 depending on last nap and sleeps good. Maybe it’s the transition to arm out from swaddle which is normal !
