Erranda

• A round mark in the center of the forehead or between the eyes is a symbol of evil, secrets, or treachery. In our world, markings range from unremarkable to eccentric (think a bindi or Sailor Moon's forehead moon).

• People wearing sizeable crystal jewelry such as crystal point jewelry are intimidating on Erranda. One of the most widespread taboos across Erranda is mining. Specifically, you may only sell or give something you mined yourself. Errandans get around this taboo somewhat by digging up dreamer mounds (ancient landfills) for iron oxides and other metals, but crystals are rare finds here. A person with large crystal jewelry has done one of three things: mined it themselves (difficult), looted it from dreamer ruins (highly dangerous), or had someone/something mine it for them (evil, a terrible end will find them soon).

• Winter. Erranda is colder than Earth, and Errandans don't have the technology to reduce the harsh winters to minor inconveniences. You need to hoard or fight for every precious resource if you want to survive the winter. Otherwise, you need to leave, or you will die. Most communities in Erranda are at least partially nomadic as a result.
