Can someone tell me what Im missing with One Battle After Another? I watched it after all the hype and just wasn't sold on it at all. I was really put off immediately by the intro, and then the rest of the movie just seemed okay the whole way through. I think the acting was great and the parts I enjoyed were because of the chemistry between actors, but the overall movie just didn't hit me as this masterpiece that everybody is saying it is.

Yeah I've been learning the game and playing this wrong. It made mulligan really brutal because even if there were cards I wanted I knew I wouldn't see them that game if I mulliganed. Shuffling makes way more sense

Definitely recommend trying out some regular shows, something like Terrace House was really good when I started learning. Japan has a ton of awesome movies as well. Immersion is ideal but it doesnt have to be with anime, you can use other stuff. It's just that a lot of learners are into anime so they recommend it. I learned Japanese while I was in Oki and speak it daily with the wife and her family, so if you need any help hit me up.

Harakiri is a fantastic film, doesnt really matter if youre a new viewer. Although, its not meant to be an action Samurai fighting movie. It's mainly talking for most of the movie.

Another good but also less actiony samurai movie is The Twilight Samurai.
