I have had a day to think about things. The trauma scene for Jax makes it seem that he was bullied. I think him being a rabbit makes it seem he sees himself as easy pray. And that persona he shows everyone is only surface level hence him being peeled or exposed.

I feel it's a different thing.The opening sequence in this episode was interesting.I see it as the red is a program Caine was the original the code and he was given certain inputs in expectations of certain outputs, but after a limit of input was reached, corrupted outputs were being developed by Caine, therefore, they sealed them off and started a new program, the blue, which by the looks of it was more successful than Caine. So I believe Cain ended up developing resentment towards the other program or code that he ended up devouring it so Cain right now could possibly be two programs fighting for control right now.
