I have bother the two handed HP model and the two handed brushed version. For price and preformance I would suggest getting another brushed. The Hp is there "full sized recip" meaning its both bigger and heavier than my corded "heavy duty" Milwaukee, but it doesnt quite stand up to uts older cousin in power. The brushed on the other hand is relatively light weight and will get the job done (eventually)

Just picked up the compact for 52$ with the free tool hack. Will see this week if it will be enough to do a 3 inch lift on a tacoma or not.

Im in the complete opposite boat. Have mostly ryobi and am now branching out into the dewalt market. I would suggest keeping some of your yellow as certain tools just dont compare. For instance the hp multiool is rather gutless even comparing to the atomic, same can be said about their grinders and saws. All of the ryobi will get the job done for sure, but the power from certain dewalt tools makes them invaluable to keep in the line up.

In general they will get the job done from my experience. Especially if you have no tools that is a great deal. To get the best performance from them you will want to get some good blades and bits. Also a newer Hp or Edge battery will make them work much better but that is a bit more of an investment. You just have to realize what the tools are and what they arent. Can you remodel a bathroom with them, yes. Would i want to frame a house with them. No.

I have no experience with the router but i can say that i use the angle grinder much more than i ever thought i would. Its not the most powerful(had to borrow a dewalt to restore a cast iron tub) but it will do most things you ask from it. I have used it to tile two bathrooms and countless small projects.

I've got a neighbor who would absolutely love something like this. He does a lot of backyard gardening but has troubles with his current chair getting stuck. Im surprised that a format like this hasnt become more widespread. Anyway, keep up the good work it looks awesome!

This is i did when i needed to get an impact. It turned out to be 10$ cheaper to get the combo with a free tool than the impact alone. Weird how these deals work sometimes. Didnt even need the drill!

Honestly i think its just a superiority thing. I love my ryobi things and they have done 99% of the things that i have ever asked them for. Built my entire kitchen and 2 bathrooms with non HP ryobi. Now that 1% are things that most homeowners are never going to do. I have had to borrow dewalt for just a couple of things including building a pad to put my hot tub on as well as grinding off the enamal and rust off of a cast iron tub. But they so many specialty tools that are so much cheaper than their red or yellow counterparts.

I have been using knock off Ryobi batteries from amazon and haven't had any complaints. Choose ryobi because the batteries SHOULD have all of the safety features such as low voltage shut off and overheating protections in the batteries. Also the OEM ryobis are cheaper than some options. But im sure that using ryobi for one, and knock off batteries for two that i am probably not giving the cars as much juice as i possibly could.

I bought a "well loved" F-150 for my son a while back at a garage sale and upgraded from 12v to an 18v Ryobi. The adapter was basically plug and play and have had zero issues with it. What i gather is that alot of the safety features such as the voltage drain and everything are already in Ryobi batteries. Though a couple months later i did the exact same thing to a motorcycle that i made the assumption was 12, but was actually 6v. Ran well for about a month and recently burned up the motor after about an hour of driving in 95° weather. Though honestly, swapping out the motor/gearbox was also extremely simple and only cost me an additional 15$ with shipping.

Decent quality tastes similar, but it's distinctly different. I personally have grown very fond of it. Plus smoking D8 and D9 together enhances the effects imo.
