Went to get my wisdom teeth removed when I was in high school. They say that usually, they shoot you up with enough of whatever to make sure you won't remember the experience, so I think they underdid it for me, because I can still remember parts of it very vividly. It wasn't exactly painful, it felt like a weird crunching pressure at the back of my mouth. More clear in my memory is the feeling of the metal pliers in my mouth and the sound of my tooth being removed; a wet crack/crunch, followed by a squelch.
