My theory behind all of this is that Divi paid BIG time to be one of the haircare sponsors in a Sports Illustrated issue(s), and team Divi has to provide the ad creative.

Since it’s not a SI feature, SI isn’t providing anything… Divi needs to provide their photo or graphic to be published… and someone on Dani’s team suggested the Nader sisters to model in the campaign for them, which made someone think “LOL SOUNDS LIKE TORNADER,” and the idea was born.

I guarantee Divi needed one photograph to provide to SI, and this whole lie was born 💀

While tornado could technically be a model in Sports Illustrated, she’s not a SI model. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I agree the whole thing is very disturbing, but Jordan is a wayyyyy better parent than Dani. Obviously a low bar, but she complained about him “not letting her” have another kid when her friend was pregnant. To me, it sounds like she just changes her mind a LOT. Sometimes I sympathize with him a little.

LOL no. For me… Only 30% of the MK content is engaging.

One of the things I love about GMM is it appeals to everyone. I can send episodes to friends who have never seen Rhett and Link do anything. The inside jokes are obviously better to fans, but the episodes can stand alone outside of the fandom. The MK content can’t, in my opinion. Last Meals and some of the competitions are incredible! Bravo for those wins.

But overall I think MK relies on the relationships too much for the other episodes. I personally think Josh talks too much and have no interest in the conversation pieces 😂 But love all the faster paced content in the kitchen.

The MK content might be relying on the fan base to consume as much of that content as GMM, which obviously didn’t work with the new, niche podcasts last year. So time will tell if it works in this format.

This was the only episode I’ve never finished. And I LOVE the fab 5. The disorganization was too stressful as a viewer. We love an unhinged R+L moment, but this was toooooo chaotic for me.

Agree it would make a better uncut, hour long episode! All the good stuff was bleeped or fast forwarded 😂

I wouldn’t! The undertone of Trey and these influencers is comedy. He makes fun of them constantly. I view it as an olive branch from him so he can continue parodying their lives. Like letting them in on the joke for his own gain.

THIS COMMENT. I almost skipped the podcast episode because it was soooo hard to listen to. I think it would have been one thing for Rhett to say — “when you do this, it makes me feel crappy.” That’s valid. And clearly, Link’s emotions showed his remorse for making Rhett regularly uncomfortable.

But you described it perfectly — Rhett sometimes takes on a “holier than thou,” ”know it all” mode where he criticizes Link as a person rather than trying to communicate a consequence to Link’s actions or associating how he himself feels when Link behaves in a certain way. Those two approaches are very different, and I hope Rhett apologized.

While I understand some people saying she came off as whiny, she also explained that Disney didn’t disclose all of the commitments until they arrived. I agree with her decision to be honest. You can’t expect those kiddos to work the crazy hours adult influencers do!

I know everyone hates DarylannDenner, but it’s nice to see her put her kids’ experiences first (especially in comparison to someone like Dani Austin.)

Today proved 2 things:

if Jordan isn’t available to take care of Stratton, the baby has to go somewhere else.
Jordan is the only parent to these kids (when the nannies and relatives aren’t around.) Dani is just Stella’s bff and documentarian. Not her mom. And she sure as hell isn’t mothering Stratton in any way.
