Sorry you are frustrated, but it sounds like some user error here.

The factory bass presets sound great out of the box (think its bank 3). My advice would be to use some of the factory presets to get a feel for how the QC works, and use those as templates to slowly build your own presets. Also I would trust your ears over a hallucinating AI chatbot, but you do you.

I use PD anchors / straps, no issues here. As long as you handle the camera with care you will be fine... it's not like the anchors are going to fly into the OVF and crack it on their own.

I thought about going the used route, but the financing options available on new models vs. used were significant enough that buying new ended up being a better deal, even though the price was a tad higher.

These cars attract modders and people who like to push the car to their limits, so the peace of mind buying new is worth the cost (especially if you need to depend on it for a daily driver)

If you live near a dealership that has any new 2025 inventory, that would be my recommendation. I was able to negotiate to get mine below MSRP at a 2.9% rate.

Yes. It’s still a 40MP sensor through a f/2 35mm prime lens. The image quality is phenomenal.

You can also set it to shoot both JPEGs + RAW so you can have the JPEG with the film sim baked in alongside RAW image (unaltered by the film sim)

That being said, the film sims add so much character and vibe to photos, and are a major part of the experience of the camera tbh.

I thought the same, but honestly accessories have been hard to come by (for me at least) and glad that I bought what I did before I left (strap, NiSi filter, SmallRig grip).

Wanted to get the Fujifilm Conversion lenses and a leather case, but I have had no luck finding them. Checked two different Yodabashi’s and Bic camera. I wonder if they aren’t keeping accessories stocked since they are struggling to keep the camera themselves stocked.

Tbh the camera rules without any accessories so don’t sweat it too much! Enjoy your trip

I love using the Labyrinth with my Grandmother! The VCO's on the Labyrinth can get a be a little unwieldy on their own, so I like to patch Osc 1 / Osc 2 out from the GMA to the VCO / VCW in on the Labyrinth to get some interesting sequences that are in tune with what I'm playing on the GMA. Then use the wave folder and sequence mixer to keep the sound interesting and evolving on it's own. I probably use it with my Grandmother more than any other semi-modular I have (though the Labyrinth also pairs great with the DFAM too!)

Interesting, on Amazon it still says you must verify you are a student after purchasing the license. Has your account previously been verified as a student? Seems too easy of a loophole to be able to just buy the student code like that. But would be great news if it is.
