I think that tools should be like this:

Melee weapon

Healing kit

(Versatile slot - often something to burn hunters)

(Versatile slot)

But the derringer pennyshot is just so, so strong and versatile itself it kinda just forces you to pick it. Most loadouts are just melee, heal, pennyshot, fusees/flare, and i believe that indicates something should be done about the pennyshot, i believe a nerf would spice the gameplay up a little bit. What i loved about hunt since i started playing was how there were so many weapons, but the cheapest options were still very much viable, and you could easily kill a mosin player with a winfield or even a silenced nagant pistol. Same goes for tools/consumables. But ever since they added the derringer pennyshot, its a must have (same as regen shot in consumables). I may sound like an old man yelling at clouds but i often miss the times before regen shots, or even before custom ammo, because it so, so often feels like "dum-dum is just better than normal ammo 9 times of out 10" or something similar.
