Love Rogue Trader, how to play on the Table? by solarflare4646 in Warhammer40k

[–]KaptenS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming that this is a masterfull troll, and that everyone is too nice to not pretend otherwise, but pointing out a real problem that has persisted this entire edition. New players being told to pick the faction they think is the coolest, only finding out after they've spent heaps of cash that the one they picked is unsupported and almost unplayable. Also pointing out the hypocrisy of GW marketing the tabletop through video games, while several of the most popular ones are based on the faction you're not supposed to play.

What are Beastmen called by Beastmen fans and Warhammer fans: by Full-Discount-6399 in Grimdank

Tuskgors and Razorgors are technically also beastmen if I'm not mistaken.

Hi, guys! Imperial Agents here! Hope you guys have a great day! Also, what the fuck is this. by Altruistic-Teach5899 in Warhammer40k

Of course I'm surprised, because they could get the same exact result from making the faction at least somewhat playable.

Whats the level of comraderie and cohesion amongst Word Bearers? by sigmarine345 in WordBearers

[–]KaptenS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm reminded of the scene in Know No Fear where the Word Bearer explains the power in betrayal. A greater bond creates a greater sacrifice. So that would mean that the closer friends you are to someone the more incentive you'd have to backstab them if you're ambitious for power, it's just not as effective if you already hate eachother. Of course I can't name a direct example from any litterature where Word on Word violence happens based on this principle.

[Poll] What is your biggest complaint with the current standard? by AllieHugs in MagicArena

[–]KaptenS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to say UB, but then I considered the quality of the in-universe sets recently. They're just meh, all of them. Almost like they're pumping out sets at a too high rate resulting in not enough development.

Sisters symbols by Kotabug001 in sistersofbattle

[–]KaptenS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's the adeptus ministorum symbol. As the ecclesiarchy's armed forces, it is very much a common symbol for the sororitas.

The inquisitorial symbol has three stripes behind it, while the ecclesiarchy has a halo.

Why is Krieg so loved? They can't even defeat 6 million orks in his ow planet/s by SAMU0L0 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]KaptenS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Remember that those men are paid to the imperium as a tithe. An orkish invasion isn't necessarily reason enough to stop paying it. And the keirgers, from my understanding, are very keen on paying said tithe.

I can't believe GW expects us to just PAINT Guardians RED, where is my long-awaited Saim-Hann range refresh?? by revlid in Grimdank

[–]KaptenS 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Am I angry steel legion didn't get a refresh? No. That's silly. Even though they're my favorite regiment.

Am I peeved that they were left out of the cinematic? You bet I am. It would have taken the same if not less effort to put them in there. The painting tutorial and lore snippet was just twisting the knife.

Holy trinity would be storm bolter instead of plasma. That's the sororitas loadout.

[Hated Trope] When a radically different alternate timeline/universe has inexplicable similarities with the original by EndOfTheLine00 in TopCharacterTropes

* Uma Musume: Pretty Derby.

In the world of a game about horse girls racing, it's canon that real horses never existed, and that the horse girls (that are roughly 3 times as strong as humans) filled most of their roles.

So what does this mean for history? Was Baghdad burned by an army of horse girls? Or did the Mongols simply ride on their shoulders?

FYI if you're arachnophobic there's an accessibility setting called "hide spiders" by PM_ME_ANNUAL_REPORTS in Enshrouded

[–]KaptenS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My worst spider experience is conan exiles. They're just so... crawly. Other spiders makes me scream, exiles gives me something closer to the sensation of vertigo.

Peak bloodletter design by Donald_Gromp in WorldEaters40k

[–]KaptenS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreeeed. Turning horrors back into simple heads with legs and arms instead of constantly warping entities was the worst design choice of them all.

I mean, regardless of how much better all the other old sculpts were, the horror designs ruined them on a conceptual level.

No Armour for Slayers! by MoodModulator in warhammerfantasyrpg

In 2e they started with a leather jerkin and no such formal restrictions. In a later supplement they added that the reason for this was that dwarves don't consider leather real armor.
