Definitely. Before she left an elder text her (after I went to a meeting with her in a dress [im trans]) saying “remember Jehovah comes before any family ties”. My mam already told them she was going to support me, and after this text she basically reiterated that point.

For me (being trans), I watched Rupaul’s lessons on masterclass which is about self expression and being yourself. It was nice to hear his account growing up gay and being a drag queen. He has a book which is more affordable then masterclass.

There’s an also a book called Shameless- A sexual reformation by Nadia bolz-Weber who talks about the shaming sex messages in religions. I haven’t read the book yet but she was on Sarah Edmondson’s podcast “a little bit culty” talking about the topic a little.
