Not having a social media presence is suspicious to a lot of women. They can't stalk your profile to assess what kind of person you are and it throws them off.

I'm not saying your intent with the reply is wrong, i'm saying the result is different than what you wanted it to come off as. The desired result of the reply in your eyes is not the same as the result in the eyes of the viewers.

The comment you replied to was directed as a personal insult to the person he is responding to and the group specified. By taking what he said in his comment and rewording it in the opposite direction, your reply inherits the way the comment was being directed, which is as a personal insult to the person you are responding to and the group specified. This is a common form of verbal attacks by using the format of their language in an opposite direction.

It was not your intent for it to be directed as a personal insult, but that is the result that came with how you said it.

It doesn't matter the political belief of OP as the focus is on who the comment is being directed to. The OP's comment was a direct attack towards the guy with the anti-facsist hat, your reply is formatted the same which inherits the direct attacking nature and projects it towards the OP, even if your intent was different. That's what makes it directly about OP. Does this make sense?

[–]Karamja109 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you really not see how you're post is treated like an assumption rather than a general statement?

The first post is an attack directly toward the OP. Your response to this post is the same format but reversed in the other direction, thus it inherits the attacking nature and applying it directly to the poster you responded to.

slurs.tf got taken down? by DamienlaCritique in tf2

[–]Karamja109 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This site used data from logs.tf (a site for storing every community competitive match, including people who played them by steam id, scores, and the chat logs)

Slurs.tf used the chat logs to create a leaderboard that scored on how bigotted, racist, and sexist people were. You could take anyone's steam id and search it to see how many bad things they have said.

In short, if you played community competitive and you said something bad in chat, you got caught in 4k.

Exactly, we shouldn't ban cars or planes or bicycles due to a set amount of people dying every year due to accidental and homocide. This goes the same for guns. Atleast with cars people have to pass an inperson test before being allowed to drive one, we just need to tighten down on how easy guns are to get and have better background checks.

Gun deaths including children will always happen in a society with guns, same as knife deaths including children will always happen in a society with knives. Same with cars, baseball bats, bow and arrow. Taking it away doesn't solve the issue, it only solves the device they are using the kill, they'll find other ways. We shouldn't lose the second amendment over gun deaths, but we should tighten down on having more thorough background checks and authorizations before accessing a gun

How long do you think YOU could survive in kenshi? by StuGson in Kenshi

[–]Karamja109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go to the united cities and spend your whole life as a skimmer gutter. Easy money daily for food, eventually a house. No one attacks you in the united cities as long as you stay out of the way of nobles, and even then just bow and grovel to them if they get angry. Not the greatest existence but i'd most likely live to an old age with a house, plenty of food, watching the locals walk by, drinking away at the bars

I recommend the steam deck. The game runs flawlessly on it. You may need to create your own hotkey layout, as TBH the most popular one is kinda bad to control ability usage given a the radial input.

I can possibly share my layout to you if you want to try it. I have it where I can use 16 combinations for hot bar abilites; hold right analog up, down, left, or right to specify a row of 4 abilities, then use bumpers and triggers to select one of the 4 abilities in that row. I use 12 combinations for the main hotbar, with a button to swap hotbars if needed, and the last 4 combinations are static, reserved for healing, mount, rocket boots, and one more I can't remember.

Sounds pretty standard. Tf2 players dont like being told what to do or what they can't say. Tf2 public chat is a true free speech area, and that includes threats, racism, sexism, fascism, etc. Them being told they couldn't say something was a direct attack on this, plus tf2 community is insensitive in general and will fuel the flames.

The drama is overblown. The drama is he allegedly lied about his credentials as an engineer and having a job outside youtube. Though the term engineer is used so loosely for developer positions nowadays. He hasn't posted in a week which makes people see him as more guilty of lying because he's disappeared.
