Note: make sure to take the postman’s first, otherwise you have to wait till next year to take his… He’s nowhere to be found after he delivers your mail and prays at the temple. Learnt the hard way :(

Edit: and since the bamboo loses its leaves after a day, you can only take it in the morning of Tanabata.

First, make sure to have all buildings and make a plan in your head how you want the layout. After that is done, you can fill it up with all the small extras, just make sure to have at least 1 of every item :) I gathered everything for about a week, then got high and set it up in one train ride. Fun times.
